Hello! Sorry about the lighting in this one. It got dark so quickly while I was filming this. I debated about not posting this video, but in the end I thought it would be better to share and apologize rather than scrap the entire video. Especially since I never know when I'll get another Santa Fe. Thanks for your understanding. I promise, I did a MUCH better job with the visuals in the next video. Cheers!
100 Rental Cars it’s still a great review this notification made my day I almost bought one of these cars but instead I went with the jeep grand cherrokee. My local Hyundai dealership still has a ton of these on their lot when my local Hyundai dealership had the previous gen santa fe they weren’t able to keep these on their lot but with the new ones they still have tons on their lot I think I’m tempted to buy this car over grand cherrokee.
Have you had any problem with it? I has a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe but the engine just got locked up. I really like another Santa fe but I really don't want another engine failure.
I did?!? LOL, I'm such an idiot sometimes. I even watch these videos multiple times after the final edit to check for mistakes...but, some always slip through.
Unfortunately...they downgraded the base model for 2020...they removed a lot the safety features...So the 2019 model is actually the one to get..if you want a base model.
I love how much larger they look. Hopefully the cloth seats are more comfortable than the 2013-18 version. Pretty cool how it gives you the full suite of advanced safety features in the base model, all for under $30k.
Agreed. I was pretty impressed with the combination of adaptive cruise control and lane departure assistance. I turned both on and let the car basically drive itself for a while on a long straightway. It's scary how comfortable I felt having the car kinda drive itself.
The standard cloth seats ARE very comfortable. And you can get this base starting model for around $23K in most markets after the discounts. It's a great deal with the best warranty.
Where is the spare wheel? And is it full size. I get the impression that most people who do these types if reviews are generally solely city drivers, as they rarely deal with spare wheel. A vital feature for those who tow, or drive off sealed roads.
Looks like a great Japanese alternative, I'd rather have more power and of course a rear lift gate glass that opens, like the Toyota Highlander offers. Great review non the less 👍
hello! I just got my santa fe 2019 essential AWD.. am from Canada by the way. so am just kind of confuse why my santa fe does not have a blind spot monitor?? any idea??
Hi, I'm in Toronto and planning to buy the Preferred trim. Do you think its a good purchase and value for money in the long run (5-7 yrs). Would you recommend it for a family of 3 with a toddler?
Wait this is really a base SE trim??? No frickin way. The base trim really has android auto/carplay, blind spot monitoring, AND adaptive(radar) cruise control right off the bat??? Wow. That's insane! You can confirm all of this and that it's the base SE trim right? Thank you!

Not all USB ports will charge your phone/device. The "normal" ones are just used to connect your device to the car for things like Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
poor fuel economy and weak engine power. Only 21 city 27 hwy???? and it is not even the turbo engine variant.. I better buy a V6 with 19 city and less than 25mpg in hwy if I go with that mpg range..Rav 4 and cr-v both have better mpg than this one.

Does 2019 come with sunroof Santafe sel
My bf just traded our Chevy cruise for one just now!!! I'm at home with the kids waiting for him to come back. Couldn't wait to see!
“Chevy Cruise” lmao
Just bought a brand new 2019 the other day and I absolutely love it!!
Base model or the sel ?

Stella Cobb I haven’t had any issues at all I absolutely LOVE IT...
@@AngieB123 Great to hear that it holds up well for you! Thanks for letting me know!
@@stellaphan9091 how many miles did you have on the 2012? Was it a v6 awd?
I like your review, you focus on normal stuff and regular driver uses 👍
When you called it the sonata, I had to check and make sure I was watching the right video.
I did?!? LOL, I'm such an idiot sometimes. I even watch these videos multiple times after the final edit to check for mistakes...but, some always slip through.
Loaded with features even in the base trim. Probably the best value for money suv you can buy in 2019.

Great review as usual. I liked the old star rating you did in previous reviews. Keep up the great work! Thanks
Thanks for the kind words. Will do! 👍👍👍

Awesome video, thanks!
We’re there other air vents in the back seat other than the ones on the centre console? I like the ones beside the door or the roof.
GREAT VIDEO!!! I prefer the old style, but the redesign looks nice!
Kinda upset there is a Cvt trans, did I hear that correct?
Nope, 8 speed auto
Hey welcome back good to see your doing good and nice video! I do hope some day you can do a review of a Tesla model 3 if you get the chance too😁
Thanks! I'd love to try out a Model 3. I looked into renting one myself, but it would cost around $300. That's a bit too much for me right now.
I really like the design of this new car.
Me too.
Does Santa Fe's Htrac have torque vectoring like Super Handling AWD from Acura?
Great video
Great comment!
@@100RentalCars lol thanks

Can you do a video on the 2019 Nissan Kicks if you could get one? Thanks.
Sure! I haven't seen one on the rental lot yet, but it's only a matter of time. I'll rent one the second it's available.
Mark Anthony Velasco Sadly it’s not a rental car.

My aunt has this EXACT car same color and everything

????? WHATS THE REAL PURPOSE FROM A REG USB PORT AND A CHARGING PORT????……..
One is for data (carplay) the other is just for charging usb devices.

100 Rental Cars the data ports also charge, categorically.
Chocolate Wheel Chair - Yeah, you're right. But, at the on the ones I've used, they usually charge reaaaalllly slow.

100 Rental Cars yeah they do. I use a 12V adapter in the cigg lighter. That’s he only way to get full power fast charge that I know of

Toyota Highlander, which is a close competitor, only gets 20 city/24 hwy when equipped with the standard 2.7 4 cylinder, and that's with FWD.
You can’t compare rave4 & cr-v with Santa Fe . Sant Fe is a bigger car
Tucson is the size of rave4 & cr-v
This is one of the worst Rental SUVs you can get. Super basic compared to other Rental SUVs. I can’t believe how basic the SE trim is.
Steriod basic
I see they are copying jeep again
