I'll add as well, since Blackest6 Light mentioned a lot of it. Ricky has also suffers heavily with depression and recently commented on his Tumblr that he felt it getting worse again, so likely that may of been a struggle for them at times. Chris has said he gets a lot of rage out in his songs, and TJ, their guitarist was fired after he didn't show up to performances on tour when he was filling in for Escape the Fate and left MIW with no time to find a replacement and their performance suffered a lot as a result of only having a lead guitar with no rhythm. TJ also had a lot of disagreements with the band during his time there. Chris has said on the issue: "TJ told ETF's management and Craig [Mabbitt, ETF vocalist] that he had already asked us in MIW how we felt about it and that we agreed. That was NOT the case at all. The Truth is that he showed up to practice 2 days before we left for tour and told us about ALL of this for the first time and said that it was already set in motion and we didn't have a choice because he was "doing what's best for TJ". He basically fucked us last minute. Then to top it off.. decided to let us know that instead of leaving for 5 days as he had mentioned when first telling us about all of this... he was now going to be gone for 9 days. ...... he told us this with only a week before leaving with NO time to find a fill in for him whatsoever. TJ stated his admission to us that he doesn't like any of us and is only in MIW because he doesn't want to go home and have to work a real job. To us... we shouldn't have to have someone in our band who doesn't like any of us or who isn't as passionate as we are about everything pertaining to MIW and our fans which you obviously know we care about greatly. We are over people always asking "Where's Tj??" because he refuses to go meet fans after shows. I'm sure ANY of you reading this can agree that when you're in a position like we are, where we are given an AMAZING chance to play music around the world.. you want someone in the band who ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE BAND AND THE FANS." Angelo also left, but it was completely positive for him and MIW: "We hope that he will find the relief he is searching for and that this is nothing but a positive move on his part. We are extremely sad to see him go, but we fully support and understand his decision to do what's best for him. We are and will remain on good terms with him and really hope that all of our amazing fans will support him in whatever he chooses to do from this point on. He has been a part of our band and our family since its conception and this will take some adjusting for everyone, but as always, we appreciate all the ongoing support. Thank you for reading and letting Angelo know he will be missed. We love you Ange, thank you for joining us during what will be looked back on as some of the best years of our lives." Angelo has said that being in a band affected his mental health and physical health (understandable it's very hard work and very stressful) so he had to call it quits, but loves the band and the guys. So they have definitely had some issues, the biggest one being TJ. That must be difficult being told someone you trusted basically did not like you and was using you. MIW also tend to have an issue with a lot of young fans treating them like little boys and not giving them much respect. For example, one girl gave them bloody razor blades at a meet and greet and told them they 'saved her' and 'helped her stop cutting' and it made the band REALLY uncomfortable. Chris has said time and time again he does not like fans telling him the band 'saved him' because he finds it to be insincere and it puts a lot of pressure on them as performers. Younger fans also have been implied by the band to grab their genitals, etc. which is just creepy and gross. Chris dislikes how rude and unsatisfied fans are online, especially the Instagram crowd who are often the most disrespectful and youngest audience. I really do feel for them as a band, because they are all adults, Chris is 31, and yet very young fans talk about them as if they are little babies. It must be very stressful. :(
