Just found this. I have had a 1980 PU, 1984 4Runner, three Celicas. Currently a 2001 Celica, 5 speed. Your video is SO well done ! Camera work, vocals, lighting. Fast but not too fast. IAC issue already addressed. Sorry that there is no manual for this, not Haynes, Chilton, Clymer. I'm 74 so I like paper. Subscribed immediately. Thanks !
Thanks for this video! Surprisingly I couldn't find anything on google. Decided to look on youtube and there it was! That radiator hose clamp on the airbox hose had me stumped.
Very good video. It helped a lot . I would add a couple of steps though. Since you are already there, unscrew the three Phillips head screws and clean the Idle Control valve the same way as well. It is a very big deal for such a small part. Also, go ahead and take the entire air box out at one time, it makes the job much easier. And one more, remove the throttle cable as you did but while it is still mounted. Keep up the good work !
I really like your video, much more than others I've seen, because you're very clear but also very fast. So I don't forget the last thing you've done because the video has very good pace to it.
You are a very good person thank's for your expertise my celica has been a problem for a while its been vibrantly at low speed for a while could not even get it to idle will do that throttle clean, thank's for the idea 😀, RAYMOND, 1952...
I have the exact same car and I am having issue with the idle as well, after i drive it for a few mins and the put it in neutral at a stop, it drops down to like 500 rpm and then goes up a little more and drops down again, I should do this but i doubt my dumbass would be able to put the part back in even if I remove it correctly
Hey I got a 2000 celica gt 5 speed and the rpm studders on 2000 rpm when accelerating hard but then goes good do u have any advice what it could be maybe fuel injectors because I changed spark plugs but still seems like power loss when accelerating hard
I have a 2004 toyota celica gt I had another engine put in it its a 5 speed standard. But my idle keeps going from 1000 to 2000 back and forth. I replaced the EUC, IAC , plugs, coils. And its still doing it no one can figure it out. By the radiator is a small house that is plugged by a screw the guy who replaced the engine said there is no place to put this. I think it has something to do with the coolant. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.
I have 2000 GTS - K&N Short Ram Intake makes it very easy yo clean the Throttle Body. I have 215,000 miles mine was no way close to being that dirty. was no need to remove the Throttle Body. spray and and rag cleaned up was easy.
Bridger Miles yes it is automatic got a 2005 gt celica don’t know what’s going on hope it’s not transmission it’s only when I’m in drive when it’s in park it’s fine no idle issues
I did what was in this video however as soon as I put everything back together. I noticed that my reservoir coolant is disappearing and my temp needle goes up to H. What do you think could be the issue?
could be the coolant line connecting to the bottom of the throttly body check for leaks. may want to replace that section of the hose if it is cracked or torn also check other coolant lines you may have bumped or touched.
@@ElectricMilesLLC Fer sure, that's what i was thinking also, that maybe i didnt put everything back together right or that air pockets got into the reservoir. there is only 3 coolant lines right?
Got a manual 01 GT. When I turn it on cold it immediately idles at like 100-200 RPM. Usually need to give it a quick bump Because I’m afraid it’ll stall. Luckily it hasn’t stalled when turning it on but it sure feels damn close. I have a car running lean error and now multiple piston misfire error
What’s about the IAC valve? It’s the “idle air control” valve that sits on the bottom of the throttle body. Very small part that can cause big problems. Basically, if the IAC gets clogged, your car can’t breathe at idle, and stalls out.
@@ElectricMilesLLC lol my clamp for the throttle body hose was rusted on. I inspected the sensors and they where all rusted on. I figured Id just buy a whole body assembly

Keep up the great videos on the Celicas, you have helped me work on mine. Saved me some money 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad I could help $$.

I didn't know that's where the IAC is located. I wish I would have done it, when I had it ripped apart. Maybe I'll do another video on it soon.

I have a 03 gt it's doing the same thing! Thank You so very much!!😊😊
Awesome video. I have 2 Celicas that I want to clean throttle body. Now I can do it. Do you recommend a throttle body spacer for the Celica? Thanks
Do i have to remove the whole thing to clean the back of it?
Excellent video.. . Sucks my celica has the oil burn issue. But I have not cleaned my throttle ever my car has 177k miles

Could this be the cause of shaking when I’m in drive but my foots on the brake at a red light
Doubtful. Is yours automatic transmission?

Mines doing the same thing bro
Dylan Roberts check your fuel injectors. Mine were completely shot. Huge cracks running along the plastic body.

Thats a 1zz-fe engine.
Anyone know where to find the whole assembly plus modules?
