A much needed initiative started by truly great environmentalists like Lois James, Bob Hunter, Jim Robb and he Friends of the Rouge. Parks Canada, remember to recognize those who fought to protect the land from urbanization, and those who still fight to keep sensitive Rouge plants and animals healthy.

I used to hike down there when I was a girl, 65 years ago. I'm so impressed that it was not given away to just the rich. I remember the compressed mud "Indian" trials that were so fine to walk on in bare feet.
My brother and I used to fish for sunfish and the odd trout to bring home for Mom to cook. Great work you Ontario ans.

The tywn rivers area needs better access by foot!!! People shouldn't have to share the road with cars or have to use unofficial trails to get down. Make it better please

Making this a national park was going overboard. Most of it is just a normal rural area and nothing special. The only reason is was created was because it was the last remaining rural area in Toronto.
