Eric John i’m debating between the Rupert Neve 511 mic pre or the Chandler TG2 500?! Any advice?

I love the Chandler Opto. I recently reviewed a few 500 series compressors which included the Great River 501 based on "Pulse Width Modulation" compression, Neve 535 "Diode Bridge", Neve 543 "VCA", Serpent Splice 1176 "FET", SSL E-DYN MK2 "VCA", IGS ONE LA "Opto", Wes Audio RHEA "Vari Mu", Elysia Xpressor "VCA", Retro Instruments Double Wide "Vari Mu" and finally the Chandler Limited EMI TG "Opto" compressor. There were others that I really wanted to try but were unavailable at the time of my evaluation. I hope down the road to include the Shadow Hills Vandergraph, Pete’s Place BAC 500, Crane Song Falcon, and a few others. One thing I found remarkably interesting is that there is a strong correlation between sound and weight. The heavier modules rated higher for me sonically. Out of these 10 units my favorite top two for bass were the Chandler and Retro Instruments with the Neve 535 and Splice not far behind.

Would a pair of the EQ's be great for my Mix Bus EQ?
    Thanks for this video!

incredible. Even at the extremes the EQ (or the comp!) never gets too harsh.
