I just got the P-8 myself. I agree it's a well done model! I'm waiting for a KC-135 or KC-10 in 1/400 but haven't heard of any future releases of one. Also would love to see an EC-130J from the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Pennsylvania.
Yeah, I need to build more of a military collection with some tankers. Especially with my line of work. I mess with them all the time, they are just hard to find in 1:400. I can’t wait for new military lines!
Thanks! The terminal was built by Custom Airport Buildings on Instagram. He 3D prints all kinds of cool airport buildings and terminals! I just happened to want Indianapolis International lol
Modelaviation12 thanks for your video review especially for P-8 US NAVY so awesome!! I just received mine few days ago and surprised with the mold details of the P-8, especially on the nose, cockpit and hump area. I think it is more realistic compared to their 737-800 released last time around, as a reference I have 738F Fedex and the mold is not really correct although overall model is good. Do you think that Gemini Jets has improved or modified their 737-800 mold and we can expect the same quality of this P-8 for their future 737-800s?
You’re welcome! I really hope they used the P-8 to improve on their 737 in general. I have been getting my 737-800’s lately from NG and they are amazing so I hope Gemini steps it up to compete.
@@modelaviation1241 thanks for your reply. NG is definitely the leader for current 1:400 scale. But with Gemini, I noticed they improved some molds, like A330-900 neo for example is a good effort. And now with P-8 they are showing they are able to improve. I wonder if they shared this 738 mold with Panda Models as I saw their P-8 is quite similar with Panda Model one. Although Panda P-8 doesn't have pods and antennas but both are good models and Gemini is the winner. I am afraid NG is also tempted to produce P-8 then I will be forced to buy one from them. 😁😁
Your lucky to get the navy i wanted but its way to expensive rn by the way what site do you to buy it i use amazon and ebay sometimes. Just subed as well
Who gave you permission at IND to photograph the P-8A. I'm also a photographer, and we're exclusively told absolutely zero photography of any of the P-8 poseidon at the airport.
The PIC. You can also catch them doing test flights all the time. I don’t have any “high security” pics that the average photographer can’t get if that’s what you’re asking.
@modelaviation1241 I'll have to contact the PIC to see if I can take any. I also work on the P-8A, and they make it seem like any photos of the place are prohibited no matter what. If I'm able to get clearance for some exterior photos, I'd be thrilled
@@invictarose203 He gave me his patch which the model sits next to in my display case before the aircraft departed. The guy was super chill. Most military pilots are. Plus, taking pictures of an aircraft that is out in the open from outside the airport fence and landing and departing is really a free for all🤷🏻♂️
That P8 is stunning
It’s probably one of their best 1:400 yet with the amount of details
@@modelaviation1241 Definitely going to try to get one of those from my local hobby shop

Okay so cool unboxing but I can’t not ask where you got the terminals in the backgrounds and/or what brand?

Thanks! I use EBay mostly when I want used models. New releases I have a couple of retailers I buy from.
Hey,Can you tell the length and width of the diecast?
The P8 is about 3 1/4in length by 3 1/4in and the 777 is 6 1/2 inches length by 6 inches width
