I've seen some people across the web theorise that Baldi's Basics is a game set in the eyes of an autistic kid having a panic attack for not being good at maths. Which, despite how broad the Null story is, a very good theory knowing how many things that would look normal and child-friendly are highly distorted and creepy.
And the fact we got Dr Reflex making us choose which shape is a circle may imply that he's a child psychologist helping autistic cognitive thinking.
Edit after watching him pull out hammer for the first time: Ah ok so I guess that's why he's scarier than Baldi. (although I know even mystman said there's no lore)
The creator has previously stated that the game has no actual meaning or deep lore behind it, the Null stuff was the only thing close to "story" and even that was nonsensical and instantly concluded (he literally dies). The game is just silly for the sake of being silly without any deeper meaning behind it lol.
