I have a 2001 Honda 750 shadow ace with 50 thousand miles and never had a problem with it. I am hoping to get many more miles from it. all I have done is regular maintenance. It gets 60 miles per gallon .I have had many bikes in the past but this is the best
Add Yamaha Stryker and Raider . Think of the Stryker like a Sportster . But with a 1300cc motor and styling . Then jump up to the Raider . Thats 1854cc of fun right there ! The same design cues on both bikes come off as cool custom bikes with fat rear tires and a raked front end . They get lots of looks and compliments . I know , I had both bikes ! ❤
I have a 2008 Vulcan 900 Classic. Beautiful bike with great power and gas mileage. The 5.3 gallon tank is the biggest among mid size cruisers, and gives it an awesome cruising range for touring. Very comfortable for two up riding and highly recommended. Not a bike I will need to upgrade from.
I've owned 25+, Tweeke'd all of them My fav's 1. Honda VT500 Ascot 2. Yamaha V Star 650 3. Sportster 1200 Screaming Eagle 4. Katana 650 5. Yamaha Maxium 650
I have a 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and I got a feeling that it’s going to be with me for a long time picked up last year only had 4085 miles on it very reliable and easy to maintain

Yamaha 1600 wildstar, 2003 fabulous bike used to ride over the pyrenees from france to spain for a coffee on the many sunny days i get here all year round😊
about ANY honda, if you keep clean fluids & filters on them will run nearly forever.even my old magna with cam issues from the factory.they still look new.i never let valve lash less than .005.so far so good at 40 years old.
Why is the Vulcan 800 not at the top of this list? During it manufacturing 1995-2006 it was referred to as “ bulletproof “ by numerous motorcycle magazines, and most every person that owned one. I’ve personally owned ( bought and sold ) 16 of these, including all 3 models and still have 2 of the classic or B models in my possession.. I have rode one since 1998 when I bought my first 1995A model.. It was truly a sad day when they stopped being made.
Hurray to belt drive bikes... I had 3 bikes with belt, 2 Suzuki single cylinder Savage 650 alias Boulevard S40 & one BMW Scarver using a Rotax single cylinder 650 cc. I remember asking the salesman, who sold me my first Savage, for a second belt. He told me that, if my belt broke, he would give me one for free... He was right, my belts never broke over a 20 years period 😃😃😃
The bolt was the most uncomfortable bike I have ever owned. It was a good bike but the seat killed me. I bought every accessory they had and as a motor trimmer, even adapted the seat but it wasnt anygood.
V-Star 1300 is not number one. It’s gearbox has some difference of opinion. I’m shocked the Intruder 800 (Blvd C50) was on this list, but not the 1500 (C90) which is considered the king of reliability. Hell it even beats my Goldwing which is considered to be one of the most reliable legends on the road. List could use a less biased fix.
I pretty much agree with you. You should include all the Vulcan 1700s. The problem with the Rebel, it is god awful ugly. Every aspect of that bike is ugly. The pug looking headlight sitting in the forks. The radiator, It stocks out to far instead of following the lines of the frame. The ugly frame. It is not a frame for a cruiser. The shape of the frame. It's made for a sport bike or naked street bike. The tank is badly shaped because of the frame. The engine should have been better designed better. Like a Bonneville
Ugly as & do get electrical problems ,clutch problems as well as stif clunky gear changes. Mate has had 3 all duds no trade in value at all shops here in oz won’t even take them as trade in . Sorry but when I look at one I feel sick .just trying to con yuppies into thinking it’s a chopper .

Have a 2005 Honda VTX 1800 F, still rides like brand new and looks just as good as the day I bought it off the showroom floor. It's a keeper.
Im about to sell my 2006 VTX 1300. After the last time I ran out of gas due to it being carbureted and not having a gauge , I decided to let it go.
Excellent video, Truly Love all these magnificent Japanese Cruisers 🥇🇯🇵 ❤️🤍!!!

You forgot the VTX1800 I know many people who have gone way past 100000 miles without a problem.
Suzuki m109r is the same model as vtx 1800
I sold my (new bought) Intruder C800 with more than 100000km and all that without any problem!
Put a Corbin seat , a small windshield on a VT1100 Shadow and roll on!

I had a Vulcan 750 for many years but had to sell it after divorce. I do miss that bike. Her? Not so much.
What about the vstar 1100? Is that a reliable bike?
