Just want to say that your content is very relatable and enjoyable to watch. There's a lot of MTB riding videos that focuses more on showcasing their awesome skills. You, however, are not afraid to show that it's ok to be cautious and be safe. It's ok to walk on features and take loses. Progress is key. You are an inspiration.
Thank you for showing every stop, hesitation, and concern you have on features. Since you do trails in one take, and often for the first time, it is more relatable to the common person who bikes as a hobby. RUclips MTB'ers always bomb down stuff at breakneck pace but they don't always show everything, or they just did many runs down the same trail.
Beacon Hill is such a great local trail system with incredible builders! Both the Tech and Flow trails are incredible, and the scenery through the Pine trees is an iconic aesthetic.
Hard to tell, but I saw it WAY before the guy in front of me ever saw it. One little distraction when you're driving (especially on a highway like this) can be deadly!
Turkeys probably snatched your gloves. 😅 Welcome to Eastern WA Brian! Love to see some of my favorite trails being showcased by one of my favorite cycling ambassadors. Hope to see you out there someday!
Great to see you make it to some of my favorite trails, good job covering them. Surprised you didn't ride trail 140 at Mount Spokane, knowing how much you like long, techy downhills. Six miles. Maybe next time.
I’m recovering from hip surgery 2 weeks ago and on the Peloton 20 mins 2x/day, which makes your videos perfect to watch in that period. From a technical perspective, this was one of the most enjoyable videos of yours so far. Your technical skills far exceed most, and this was interesting to see your thoughts (and smart decisions) on some features that were occasionally out of your wheel house. Great video.
This is really relatable for me. I don't really have any qualms about walking features on trails I've never ridden, maybe doing the "three ride-ups maximum" rule; what gets in my head is on trails I've ridden a bunch of times and where I've just programmed myself not to do certain things because they were well above my pay grade at some point. It shouldn't matter and riding should just be fun, but there's always this drumbeat of progression that I can't really escape!
Yeah, it's tough when there isn't little building blocks in between. I would love to build some kind of 8 drop progression at Everstoke where you can subtley crank up the difficulty and feel each subtle increase.
A trail and area i discovered when dropping my son off at Gonzaga, been lucky the last 4yrs to ride all of the great trails from Mt Spokane to Liberty to Mica to Beacon and all of the Trail 25 loop multiple times. And yes, he will graduate in 4!!! Got to ride in Wennatchee too.
Heading north from the there check out Sandpoint, Idaho. The lower basin trails of Schweitzer Mountain and Pine Street Woods/VTT in town. Good stuff there already and more coming every year.
Glad you finally made it up here to ride! I could lap Commitment Issues, Pop Rocks, and Good Twin all day every day. Definitely come back to Spokane and do a group ride, we definitely can show you some goods. So lucky to have this trail system within riding distance of downtown.
If you are coming back from Canada through Central Washington, drop by the Winthrup area. There are a number of good trails that I'm sure you would like. Sun Mountain's Thompson Ridge and Wild Turkey, to name a couple.😎👍
Used your link for LMNT a while back and been using the stuff ever since. That and the stinger waffles are my goto. Glad you had some fun out there. Keep it up.
There's so much more up there - the other side had some great rocky tech trails too. Good times and Ninja camp are two trails you would love (and could probably ride all of). Also Mica Peak just to the south of town has an awesome trail system with some longer down hills.@@bkxc
I love it when u ride up instead of shuttle. I bet the downhill taste sweeter. I dont know how often u strip and service your bike but it always sounds smooth and quiet
Climbing is always kinda nice if it's not too hot! I always think my bike is loud, every little thing shows up in the audio! But I'm not crazy with maintenance, just keep it kinda clean.
If I remember correctly you had bike issue and had to stop in spokane valley and I asked if you checked out beacon in the comments.. You got skills taking on trails you have never seen and riding them like that. Glad you made it to beacon you would enjoy the other side as well. Don't sleep on the idaho panhandle - check out mtb group pop out of Sandpoint Idaho and also silver Mt in Kellogg idaho. Awesome job Bryan
I had to stop and scout things a lot the first time that I rode Deep Thought. It's nearly impossible to just ride it blind without checking things over.
3:54 I want to try it but it is too expensive even with discount codes. I think LMNT would be the perfect hydration product to use at the shooting range during the summer.
Check out Pilchuck tree farm in Arlington Washington go ride the Pilchuck side of the trails lots of good black and blue trails and it’s not over crowded so it’s nice and relaxing as well
Hi - On the LMNT promotion... the #1 selling drink mix in the category on Amazon is Liquid IV strawberry flavor. Now, my research shows that LMNT doesn't have the sugar, as well as some other questionable ingredients that Liquid IV has. LMNT also has magnesium , which Liquid IV does not. So, LMNT sounds better accept for one thing.... they don't have the most popular flavor which is strawberry!!! Maybe you should suggest to them that they add the most popular flavor so they can be more completive?? (Note: I did place an order for the Raspberry with your partner code.)
I definitely gave Liquid IV a try and it didn't sit right with my stomach! I gotta get into the flavor lab and see what they're cooking up. Thanks for ordering through the link, it helps the channel very much!
Out there on your own in that tech stuff is plenty adrenaline pumping . You represent the ordinary rider and not stunt guys or super pros . Again , great content !
Glad everything turned out alright with the near miss. Piece of advice, don't go down the dashcam rabbit hole lol! The Viofo A129 Plus Duo is a decent option. Safe travels out there!
I had such a hard time riding here unguided lol, there are so many unmarked trails and it's hard to tell what's good to go up vs. down since some of the tracks are basically fall line but still blue on the map
Wow! That was close! Glad you managed to dodge that car. Question with your bike. You used to have size Large ripmo and now on a Medium. Whats your experience with it? Is it better with medium or large? Thanks
@@bkxc thanks! It looked like it once you get up on that roller and showed the profile and iconic curved top tube. But the decals just looked different on the top vs. The copper ripmo logo.
Beacon is amazing. If you get a chance, go to Mt Spokane and ride trail 140 and 290. You'll love them. About 45 minutes of DH on both trails. They're blues and super fun!
Wow that looks cool ! Bryan i want to start doing bicycling cuz I’m getting out of shape 😂and it looks fun too. What bicycle do you recommend for beginners and under $1,000 ?
Moose are more the issue here is Spokane. Had a few close encounters with them on the trails, not too many bears until you get a little further from town.
What did you do to piss off the RUclips algorithm? Your views and likes have fallen off big time over the last year or so! RUclips stopped notifying me when your videos drop, even though I'm sub'd and watch them all! I can't be the only one this has happened with.

Love the content! I'm local to Beacon Hill, so seeing you riding the trails is pretty cool.
Beacon Hill is such a great local trail system with incredible builders! Both the Tech and Flow trails are incredible, and the scenery through the Pine trees is an iconic aesthetic.
Most definitely! I gotta check out the flow side next time
Cool to see you riding a lot of the trails I've built at Beacon! If you come through on your way back, I'll show you some more similar stuff up there!
Nice, always more to explore!
Thank goodness you were able to see that car coming, sheesh. That could've been real bad
Hard to tell, but I saw it WAY before the guy in front of me ever saw it. One little distraction when you're driving (especially on a highway like this) can be deadly!
@@bkxc Eeek! I hope you had some fresh undies in the van....
That little old lady driving the car was in a hurry to get to the local DH race so as to not miss the start time for her run.
Turkeys probably snatched your gloves. 😅 Welcome to Eastern WA Brian! Love to see some of my favorite trails being showcased by one of my favorite cycling ambassadors. Hope to see you out there someday!
Hahaha, turkey revenge!!
Love watching these videos, a rider that shows flaws and isn't way over confidant, just like most of us.

Agreed: really good thing to keep in mind!
Yeah, it's tough when there isn't little building blocks in between. I would love to build some kind of 8 drop progression at Everstoke where you can subtley crank up the difficulty and feel each subtle increase.

Whaaaaaat?!?! The closer you are to Canada the better things get. MTB madness at its best up here... Stress less, ride more!
Glad you could make a stop on our hill! We’ve spent a lot of years building these trails, glad you appreciate the work!
They are so good, well done!
Enjoy seeing your wisdom. It’s best not to try new technical rocky features while you’re biking by yourself.
Good to see you finally ride our local trails! Stalingrab and pop rocks were my fav.
So much good stuff!!

I learned to jump on my mountain bike at beacon. I absolutely love this place and they have great disc golf courses as well.
That's awesome! Yes, I saw a couple of the disc golf areas, very cool. Something we should do at Everstoke!
Used your link for LMNT a while back and been using the stuff ever since. That and the stinger waffles are my goto. Glad you had some fun out there. Keep it up.
Fantastic to hear that!
You are getting better and crazy! Congrats!
I just started riding at beacon hill, some of the features are crazy!

Why are the rock rolls so intimidating!
Man, they always seem pretty easy but it's hard to fully commit!
Beacon is no joke up there, i like the jump trails.
It's big time!
This trail looks endlessly entertaining. Will have to add it to my planned Canadian Rockies tour.
It's a good one!!

Very cool! It was a hoot!
If you come through Kelowna BC.Hit me up, Smith Creek just Re-opened after the wildfires. Super fun lap.
Man, didn’t happen this time but I have so much more to explore in BC!
Wow! What a cool trail system
It's really nice!
That place rips!
Welcome to my neighborhood. Started ridin this year and went straight to beacon hill
That's awesome, you'll get better quick! As long as you don't break a leg!

Didn't make it to the West side this time!
That re-enactment got me! I thought it was real for a split second 😅

Too bad I missed you. Be glad to show you around next time.
You've got an epic park in your backyard, loved it!
Hope this isn't granny trying to pass that truck lol
Have you been on your own trails, the Enduro Race at Everstoke?
Nope, missed the enduro race!
We have some good jank up here in Canada. Where are you riding? I’m in the Okanagan.(BC Interior)
Nice! I did an 8 day trip with Wandering Wheels to Revelstoke!
Where is the love it button, this video, and trails were amazing.

Wow! That was close! Glad you managed to dodge that car.
Question with your bike. You used to have size Large ripmo and now on a Medium. Whats your experience with it? Is it better with medium or large? Thanks
Medium has been great for me! I'm 5'10"
Did you break your first ripmo s? What is with the logo change on the toptube?
Same one! Just a frame guard
Awesome trail. :)
Big time!
Watching this after crashing Stalingrab on the big gap, now out of work 2 weeks from sprain.
Oh man!!
Come ride trail 140 at mount spokane!
I gotta put it on my list!

Still the Ripmo V2s!

Ibis Ripmo V2S

14 mpg!
Awesome video and epik trail Beautiful lovet
Thanks!

IMO,Beacon has some of the hardest trails in the state.
Good to know!
Does LMNT only ship in US & Canada? How about Europe (Romania 🇹🇩)? 😢
I need those salts, specially magnezium, please help🚵♂️🤗
Yep, only US & Canada at the moment! International distribution is tough enough, but with "food" items I bet it's even tougher.
@@bkxc I see. Cheers, Brian, thanks for your reply. 🤝🚵♂️🤗
They used to ship last year in lots of parts of the world but then stopped cuz it was just tough. Great product though. Would love to order again
@@rekamniar yeah, i wish I could tried it😭💔
Try dji action 4 istead
If you stopped and sessioned some of those sections, you would clean them. Gotta wheelie drop those slabs old school when you have no speed.
I think so too, would have been nice to see someone else do it!
@@bkxc Wise to be cautious when riding alone. Hope Sarah is doing well.
Micro Progression, keeps you from E.R. visits.👍
Exactly!!
I was super happy when they starting letting us pump our own gas! Bout time!
Hahaha, I agree!
Do you keep bear spray on you or anything like that just in case?
I don't. Black bears run away, grizzlies won't give you enough time to spray!

Drivers like that should spend at least 6months in prison and get community service. A total blatant disregard for other peoples lives
I’m happy the Spokane crack heads didn’t break into your van
I saw a few!!
Definitely why you park over on the Esmeralda side. The golf course keeps sketchy people out of the parking lot for the most part.
