9:26, in the Pitch Meeting for the live-action Mario movie he says he got the idea for the mushrooms featured in it from all the mushrooms he was on. Producer asks him if he were on magic mushrooms and he says “no, Portobello” and comments that shrooms would have “ruined my acid trip” but this is the first time he’s on prescription medication.
The thing about Sean Bean dying in movies is that he reached a point in his career where he now only plays characters who *don’t* die because he thought it became too predictable to audiences when he played a character that was going to die.
The DMV scene is still my favorite part of this movie. I was asleep for the rest of it. Now that I think about it, maybe the DMV scene wasn't real and I was dreaming it. I don't think I'll watch it to find out.
The only way they coulda made the experience worse for you is if they brought back the original Honest Trailers voice to do the voiceover for this episode.
Not sure what I found more interesting. That the Screenwriter Guy was off his meds or that Producer Guy is his father! I guess since Guy is the last name for both of them it should have been obvious!
I like these versus videos. But I found the sound on this one to be bad. Either the volume of the host is too loud. Or the volume of the Pitch Meeting and Honest Trailer videos was too low. But unless I had the host screaming at me, I couldn't hear the Honest Trailer or Pitch Meeting videos. I guess I have to go watch the Honest Trailer and Pitch Meeting videos separately.
Hahahahahaha I don't care came so early in this one!!! I've seen this movie three times and I Still don't fully understand what's happening!! 😂 Impressive time on getting this out Mike!! Thanks for being you!!
1:01 but back then it at least appeared true. Things changed - probably this movie being one of those things ;) I think I like this HT a bit more, just because of the approach they took.
Levels were pretty off for me. You were considerably louder than the Honest Trailer and Pitch Meeting. Any time you laughed or talked I couldn't hear them and, because I had to turn the volume up to hear them in general, your laugh would hurt my ears and I had to turn it back down.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a rating of 28%, based on 277 reviews, with an average rating of 4.50/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "Pleasing to the eye but narratively befuddled, Jupiter Ascending delivers another visually thrilling misfire from the Wachowskis."[62] Junkyard Descending Another Sci-fi Razzie(0%-50%)
Agreed that Honest Trailers was better, maybe because Ryan George didn’t bother to explain such a dumb plot. He did have truly hilarious one off jokes though, so everyone wins! 😂
I made it through 15 minutes of this movie and turned it off. As far as which review was better... I would give it to Honest Trailers this time, but I'm a big fan of Pitch Meeting.
In defense of Jupiter Ascending....I would rather watch Jupiter Ascending 10 times in a row instead of Battlefield Earth once. The horror.....the horror....
I've heard it was an original story, not based on a novel, past film, or series. It failed miserably, of course, but I'll give it half a star for at least trying something new.
The issue is really not that it was an "original story", but that the script was a jumped mess that felt like bad fanfiction. And the thing is... _Jupiter Ascending_ *isn't* actually hugely unique or "original". It's just an amalgamation of a bunch of Space Opera and Cinderella and other stories we've seen before. Heck, the whole "Earth gets harvested for lifeforce by space aliens when its population has reached a certain point" was also the core plot of Marvel's _Eternals._ But both might be based on a 2 page Short Story called _The Harvest_ by American SciFi writer Tom Godwin, published in 1957. Only in Godwin's story, the "Sky People" who deliberately trigger the nuclear apocalypse to eat all the human souls ascending (to their doom) are... angels. Yes, it's a bit satirical take on the whole "Rapture" nonsense of US-American evangelicals. But hey, the space aristocrats in _Jupiter Ascending_ are basically space vampires, harvesting the "essence" (blood) to live eternally young. So it's not that difficult to come up with the concept independently.
It's "Cinderella versus the Space Vampire Aristocracy", except she joins them and then goes back to cleaning toilets, despite her survival being the only thing that prevents humankind from being "harvested". So, considering that life expectancy via access to high-tech medicine is directly correlated with money/poverty in the USA, her chosing to live as a toilet cleaner maid with little money and in constant contact with other people's feces is the dumbest most irresponsible thing Jupiter can choose.
The video is too quiet for me to understand what's going on, while your mic is too loud, so I keep adjusting my sound every time you talk or laugh. ☹ I love your reactions, but I will skip watching this one.
My favorite part of the Pitch Meeting was Producer Guy randomly asking “Are you off your meds again?” 😅
"Hey, shut up Dad!" was my favorite part😂
“Sounds like a classic case of nepotism.”
-Producer Guy on Will and Jaden Smith playing the leads in ‘After Earth’.
"Hey, shut up Dad!" was my favorite part😂
So Producer guy is Writer guy 's father?
@@SirsasthNigam. Or he was mistaken because he wasn't taking his meds.

Wow, that was fast, that pitch meeting just came out today. Thanks!
Visually, the movie looks pretty good. That must be where all the budget went.
"how could aliens know about our technology" 🤣🤣🤣 love Ryan George
It is like South Park Scientology episode 😅 when Honest trailers keep text as "This is the actual plot" 😅😂
Not sure if you caught him saying "Dad" around 1:47 after the meds comment since you brought up the lore of him being on meds lol
"Hey, shut up Dad!" was my favorite part😂

I do remember that, lol!!
Was so excited to see a pitch meeting for this drop because I love your reactions lol
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
I've NEVER heard of whatever this is so I am extra confused. Once again, Ryan George is teaching me new things!😂
Good old Jupiter George

That's so predictable of him lol
Hmm yeah, the video audio does seem a bit harder to hear on this one
It was definitely off. Sorry about that. I'm working to make sure it doesn't happen again.
The DMV scene is still my favorite part of this movie. I was asleep for the rest of it. Now that I think about it, maybe the DMV scene wasn't real and I was dreaming it. I don't think I'll watch it to find out.
It's safer to let "sleeping dogs lie" in this situation me thinks :)
We all just gonna act like that woman’s haircut was perfectly normal and not a glass candelabra of red flowers…
"she has a new boyfriend and a telescope" 😂😂😂
The only way they coulda made the experience worse for you is if they brought back the original Honest Trailers voice to do the voiceover for this episode.
I waiting so long for Ryan to do a pitch meeting for this movie 😂
7:10 That's what they did in Silent Hill, methinks.
they also made the movie "bound" with gina gershon and jennifer tilly. great movie
Gotta check out the cinemasins for this, its one of my favorites.
Not sure what I found more interesting. That the Screenwriter Guy was off his meds or that Producer Guy is his father!

oh my god 🤣
I recommend the
Nostalgia Critic Episode about this Movie
Sense8 gets really good towards the end. It really gets places.

Gotcha. Sorry about the sound issues on this one.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment Well, I'll forgive you this time, I guess...
14:12, Pitch Meeting
good movie, loved it
I wonder what Ryan George thinks of "Cinema Sins".
This was from back when HONEST TRAILERS was at their peak. Also, this is like a cheesy japanese girls' light novel plot.
Vol.. was off 🤷🏻♂️
Still rocking with ya
I LOVE Sense8! I takes a few episodes to get into the nitty gritty. But once it's starts its TAKES OFF. You NEED to finish it. And react to it.
U have a big channel. Can u somehow try to get him to do tropic thunder
U def got this up quick lol good stuff idk wat happened but audio was really low of the videos…def seemed lower than normal
Hmm yeah, the video audio does seem a bit harder to hear on this one
It was definitely off. Sorry about that. It'll be better on the next one. Thanks for sticking through it.
Def no worries big dawg u got this joint out so fast I was like whoa lol still a good watch
I loved speed racer, but it felt so much more like a hot wheels movie to me.
What song is your intro?
CROSH by Azucares
It's called "Crosh" by Azucares
I have no idea why but I saw this movie in the theaters like four times! I guess I was just trying to digest how ridiculous it was 😂😅
I've NEVER heard of this so this Pitch Meeting taught me of a new movie personally haha
That's hilarious!
4:51 that line "somebody" wrote for Mila Kunis to say unironically is pretty sus, and that's all I'll say about that. 🤨
Sean Bean didn’t die in National Treasure.
OMG! Mike! google Sean Bean plays Twins! Probably so he can play a character that dies, AND a character that survives a movie!
Yo! I've never heard of this movie! Ca$h.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment
I suspect someone thought, “We’ve got to do this!” Twist ending! He lives AND dies! 😂
@@johnburns9634 🤣🤣
Good second screen movie when playing a turn based game.
This movie was indeed certifiably bonkers, but I still enjoyed it.
I don't care what anyone says, this movie is amazing.

@@OnMyMindEntertainment Thanks! Great pick :)
me watching the movie: SHUT UP MEG
your voice was a bit too high on this one, couldnt really hear honest trailers.
I agree. Sorry about that. It should be better on the next video.
Honest trailer kinda won this one. Ryan didn’t even bother to try😂
Try reacting to Thanos vs Steven he
It's legendary
😂😂😂

Very true. Anytime I get to sit and laugh is definitely a win!

Jupiter Ascending is objectively a ridiculous Movie that makes no sense, still had a lot of fun watching it
It's "Cinderella versus the Space Vampire Aristocracy", except she joins them and then goes back to cleaning toilets, despite her survival being the only thing that prevents humankind from being "harvested". Sometimes I disagree with PM and HT criticisms of movies. Not here. Jupiter Ascending was a major letdown.

Noted! Sorry about that.
You know movie is bad if they cannot even kill Sean Bean
I've seen it. Absolutely horrible
So much potential, ruined by a crayon-written script
