Are the long combos you use from the move list?
Hello, man. I just reached tekken king with my reina 3 days ago, took a little break and yesterday decided to play again... And they pushed me back to fujin. What worked well in blue, didn't work in god ranks at all.
Have you played tekken games before? And for how long?
Being in tekken god ranks, do you perfectly know the match up for most of the characters?
Cuz I was impressed with the timing of my opponent's side stepping or interrupting my mix-ups in tekken god ranks. They were doing them almost perfectly.
And the bad thing is... I almost don't know the matchup at all while they know almost everything about my character. 😂
I don't know what's so magic about tekken god ranks (probably the points system that punishing you a lot for losing), but I feel like the difference of playstyle in between blues and gods is enormous.
Hello! I do think that in blue ranks you are more likely to abuse more cheesy stuff since more players lack character familiarity. This is especially true for you since you play Reina because she’s a new character to the franchise and she has a lot of moves that transitions into stance mixups which imo I think it’s easy to flow chart with. It comes to a point in ranked where you if you become to predictable or flowcharty with you choice of moves, people are more likely to catch on and blow you up for it.
For me, I got back into playing Tekken more competitively when Tekken 7 first came out. Since playing back then, I just have a ton of experience when it comes to dealing with most characters moves and different playstyles. Tekken is a hard game and so much to take in and for someone to know how to deal with each and every matchup perfectly takes years and years of experience and practice. I’m no where near that level.
Try to watch your replays and take note on how they are countering your moves and think about what can I do differently to not get blown up. Tekken God ranks is on a whole different level but I know you can strive through it though! Just keep practicing!

Correct. You can’t mash the 2 or else it won’t connect.
How are you handling the nerfs? Have you changed your combo routes?
Sometimes I feel like I’m losing more rounds than I should lol. As far as the combo routes, for the most part has not changed. Instead of fishing for DF2,1+2, I just do regular DF2 since she does not take all that self damage. Also, I do feel like she doesn’t benefit much in heat like at all since they nerfed her heat smash. Kinda sucks haha but I’ve been still getting some dubs with her.
Sooo is f, f+3, 3+4 a move i should use more often? I believe ive used it once since i got this game and it was on accident
That move can be jab interrupted or side walked so it’s risky. I only use it if my opponent doesn’t know how to stop it since it’s +3 on block. Just be aware that if someone knows how to deal with the string, you could die for it.

@@RicksStarz I'm the same as you, I use Jun as the main character and Asuka as a side character. This patch gives nerf to Jun but on the other hand gives buff to Asuka. That makes me use Asuka more often these days. Are you planning on releasing a new video about Asuka, I'm looking forward to it 😄
