- AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadda, in his speech a day after Budget 2024 at Parliament, raised a poignant question on income tax, remarking, “We pay taxes like England to get services like Somalia.”Illustrating his point, he stated, “If one earns ₹10, they must pay ₹7-8 to the government as tax. However, Governments that levy such taxes on common people, what do they give in return to common people?”The debate between the government and the opposition resumed on Thursday in both houses of Parliament over the Union Budget. Criticizing the NDA government for disproportionately allocating ₹47,400 crore to Bihar and ₹15,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh, both BJP allies, Chadda remarked, “Almost everyone is disappointed with this budget except two persons, Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu… All economic indicators show stagnant incomes amidst rising prices. The budget has paralyzed national investors… The provisions penalizing citizens must be revoked.”

First pay your Income tax, remaining savings that we used to invest again pay tax on it (Short Term capital gain raised from 15% to 20% and Long Term capital gain raised from 10% to 12.5%). After redemption money from investments if you want to purchase anything pay GST on it. Government fooling us from every side.😅

I agree with him but I would like to say that he must not have read history properly .he might have no knowledge that how UK colonized the world and looted the wealth of different countries incl. India's hence UK was always a well developed country ever(creating wealth by takeways otherwise UK could not be that developed,not only UK this applies other countries too) still they're charging taxes to their citizens at such higher rate so what do you expect, it's very much understood their facilities would be far better than india
