- Take a walk around Southern Platte Fire Protection District’s Velocity 100’ Heavy-Duty Aerial Platform with a tandem rear axle. The department went with a true clean cab including vinyl seating and aluminum treadplate flooring, both providing an easy wipe down. This also includes having both EMS compartments accessible on the outside and strategically placing the air packs away from the cab to help keep carcinogens away after fighting a fire. When visiting Pierce, the engineering team helped department determine where their equipment would be stored on the truck providing them with the best storage options, saving a lot of time. Located on the rear, to prevent wasted space, there is a deep well compartment to store shovels and hose if needed.

That's one gorgeous rig!
Great truck! Good presentation. My recommendation on these video though is either in beginning or end, activate all the code and even scene lights, that would be a nice part to see.
So great to see you guys understand the issues around dirty gear and SCBA. I'm pushing on our department to understand the issues and design our new truck like this.
Love this truck!! Pierce is the best in my book!!

Very nice truck. Love the color scheme changes. Great job!
I really liked
Nice rig, nice video.
Taking the air packs out is a good idea, but those extra seconds to get out and then put them on could waste a lot of time and even lose a human life
Beautiful Truck
love the truck but it takes more time to get the air packs out from the compartment it could be thet min thet saves somones life
But with in the cab there is a higher risk of cancer due to soot
@@darthbari Correct.
If you train your crew correctly the time to strap on is going to be negligible.
Spot on. We all knew the cancer risk when we signed up. We're going to be at high risk either way. Make decon a priority if carcinogens are a concern.
Nice.
Where's Montgomery county MD fire truck. I wanna see Montgomery county MD
Same! Their trucks are sexy as hell!
@@Dr_Duck69 nah for real💯
I’m 10, so I just ordered two of these in matchbox form lol
Should of gone with a TDA !
Nice rig. I’ll still never understand clean cabs.
It works for us.
Clean cabs don't make grabs
