If you’re taking suggestions I have one. Can you make an automatic curtain open/closer that works on Alexa, timer and manual (pole curtain ring)? People have done this before but not very well. I am sure you could do a much better job and make it easier for us to follow. Hope you like my suggestion.

why not use a DS18B20 or similar?
Make some videos on esp12e for progrmming, flshing using aduino uno.
Instead of using a Thermistor, why not use a DHT11 or DHT22
