Actually the problem is to use torch on local system, you need NVIDIA gpu. AMD GPUs don’t have Torch support.

If you don't have at least an RTX card, you'll be using your CPU, so gtx 1080, etc will be useless. A 3090 gets me 4 images at 1024x1024 resolution in about 26 seconds.

yeah, even after adding the skip torch cuda test to the user bat file, It still errors out with a runtime error. "C:\Users\blah\stable-diffusion-webui\modules\launch_utils.py", line 356, in prepare_environment raise RuntimeError(

@@naumaniftikharsatti5721 You are a genius or I was just half asleep when I tried to execute the bat file. I had already edited the bat file as you showed at 11:47. However, I was not running the correct bat to start the web ui. After re-watching from 11:47 I was able to start SD. I never read the bat file with the params and I was skipping it altogether. Thanks!

Whatever I do, the CPU is used instead of GPU.

@@MegaShirra I finally got it working :) --backend directml was needed because I had old nvidia drivers that I had trouble uninstalling.

The instructions in the video are to turn off gpu and to use CPU. If you don’t have NVIDIA GPU, then you need to follow that. Otherwise go with default configurations and you’ll be good to go.
