I made a pie cut on the backbone of the frame just in front of the seat; cut the down tubes of the frame in the radius; and then added about 4 inches in the radius cuts. That gave the bike a 40 degree rake at the neck.
@@SaddleTrampTV Thanks, so you Pie cut the top,cut and slugged the lowers while on an jack and just lowered it, and eyeballed it level? I like it, it involves no math. Thanks.
@@SaddleTrampTV Sorry, I'm picking your brain. Doing it like that, did you have to change anything on the upper motor mount? I thought about pie cutting in front of the upper mount so that the upper and lower mounts would stay the same. am I making any sense?
My brother used Seeger Cycle chopper kit on his Sportster back in the day .. I think it added 13 degrees using modified triple trees. It was a cool set up .. And on a separate note, I love doing the wiring on my bikes. It's a great feeling getting everything working and making it look clean and tidy ..

Wow, just looked up that kit....I'm way too much of a cheap ass for that! and yes wiring is fun. I'm waiting for a small fuse block and the sheathing.
@@JoeBobsGarage Yeah, it's a bit pricey but nobody said bike customizing was going to be cheap or easy LOL
Springer!
I know right, I was planning on my next build being a springer. As you can tell I'm new to all this and figuring it out as I go. Thanks for watching.
Right on! Looking good.
Can you tell me how it’s called this kit ? For the degree the forks ?
Raked Fork Neck Cup Kit. Here is the Ebay Link where I purchased it.. www.ebay.com/itm/162582772521
@@JoeBobsGarage thanks my mr 🙌🏼
How much over are your forks?
I believe +6, they came with the bike so I measured against my stock '88 883.
@@JoeBobsGarage thanks for your response!
