Joshua and Julia were a real-life couple and one of the Philippines’ top loveteams. They have a couple of blockbuster movies. They broke up and there were rumors of infidelity on the part of Julia. She was bashed on social media and Joshua was silent the entire time. This video is their first project together after the break up. They wrote most, if not all, of their lines on the video. Paubaya literally translates to "to entrust" or “to leave it to someone”.

You're jumping on Julia right away and believe in rumors because Gerald has admitted to their relationship, but before the break up, if you listen to what Joshua said that he's sorry for not being there for her when she was hurting and wasn't there to protect her when her family went through a controversy, and also people shouldn't forget that Joshua had his share of infidelity too but Julia stood by him....it's just good that they've moved on and remained good friends

According to the actor who played as the Priest, when they are going to shoot the last scene 'which is the girl apolozing' the director asks almost all of the crew to go outside the venue leaving only the Director, the two actors and camera men, the director instructed the two to just say whatever they want to each other genuinely since they didn't have any proper closure in real life when they broke up. There's no script to be memorized there and all of the lines was adlibs. I think the reason why this hits so hard is because we can feel the pain of these two, they are not acting, they are broadcasting their own life using this music video
That's not scripted, they convey their real feelings for the last time to said goodbye to each other.
What makes Moira’s Paubaya so painful is the fact that no matter how much we love a person and how much we want a relationship to work out, if they’ve already found their happiness in someone else’s arms, then we have to let them go.
Matthew got it immediately when he said that the video was from a man's perspective. I had to point that out because some foreigners who reacted to this were confused.

I don’t get the disappointed comments. The reaction is very true to how they’ve been reacting all along. They react to the music, not really videos. But even if we talk about their reaction to the video, they understood it well enough. You can’t expect it to have the same emotional impact as it had with you guys who knew about the actors’ real life relationship, can you? Not everyone gets emotional over watching a break up scene in a video, and not everyone is like Filipinos who are so invested in romance. They didn’t even have any negative comments yet people are asking them to be careful lol... of what? Of being themselves?

The part where the girl is apologizing to the boy is unscripted and raw, 100% real. They're actually exes but no proper closure after break up. That time where the girl apologize, the production team actually left the two of them for privacy exept for the cameraman to record, that's the time where they have proper conversation and closure after many issues. the boy decided to forgive her and let her go or to set free his girlfriend even if it's hurt to let go someone you love. PAUBAYA means letting go of someone you love so she can be happy.

It seemed real because it was real. The dialogue was their own words. It was not scripted. The actors were a famous couple here. Everyone knew about them and their relationship. There was a lot of drama surrounding their breakup. And the girl was heavily bashed. That's why the guy said "I didn't even get to protect you." The girl is confirmed to be in a relationship with another guy so that's why the guy said "I'm happy you're happy." They using lapels because only the director, the cameraman and the singer was there inside the chapel during that scene. So I guess to make it seem more real. Because that moment was real between the two exes. It was their closure.

Not scripted. Everything being said between Josh and Julia is real feeelings not acting. This is scene is a closure to their relationship.
