Hey do this in Canada & everyone will invite you in lol
Your always invited to our humble home here in Katy , Tx. Yes it’s a bit scary these days but sometimes the best times of your life can be the most unexpected ones
@@blznft9513 We did do this in Canada!
💯🥳🤯🥳🤯 first video first time subscriber
Too bad you can't show the dislikes lol
the transition at 16:26 from bull ride talk to "are we gonna dust the fish with the parsley" is comedy gold
Right
lol
We were dying of laughter when we were editing that scene 😂
Dad 100% wasn’t listening and was in his own cooking world
I paused the video to search for this comment, didn't take very long to find it.
"you will not find nicer people than in texas" **proceeds to get turned down by literally everyone until day 3**
From texas here born and raised. Texas people are super nice but we also like to be left alone a lot of times too not in a negative way but we like our peace
Being nice and not allowing a stranger into your home to cook are 2 entirely different things lol
@@Cubs-Fan.10 for real😂
@@Cubs-Fan.10 literally not the same thing, also did you see the Mexican one, with all the Mexican hate you see in America, it’s funny that it took like 5 different houses and got a yes. So, maybe you guys aren’t so nice…
@@zorrakas320 If letting strangers into your house = nice then I'm the meanest guy in the world.
That family represented Texas perfectly in my opinion as a Texan myself seeing the hospitality of that family warmed my heart God bless them
I'm also a Texan. I agree, they represented Texas perfectly, Trump poster and all 👍❤
This guy’s kitchen setup is next level!
He didn’t even have to let them inside his home.
@@SmellMyOSINThe didn’t let him in his home, but not his house
1:45
"Their not gonna shoot us, their just gonna come to the door..."
*GUNSHOT*
"Perfect..."
Lmao that timing
My favorite part was when you realized you needed to stop stressing and just enjoy the connections you were making! Even if you didn’t end up cooking someone a meal it would have been awesome just to watch you guys go out and experience that new culture and meet the people that you met especially since I’m from Texas it was just cool to see! It shows how much you’ve grown since starting this channel! Proud subscriber moment 🥹

Opening strangers gates in Texas is not the smartest idea in the world 😂
how are you supposed to get in then?
@@metsrus You're not supposed to get in.
"Are we gonna dust the fish with the parsley?"
LMAO I love how that came outta nowhere
How generous and kind of you to continue doing this. May you continue to receive more blessings along the way.
Sophia I see you in every comment section of every video I watch lmao
@memphis diplore Go outside man
you're looking really sus!
sus
"If y'all decide to stay, I have 2 extra bedrooms"......hospitality at its finest right there.
My favorite part:
Brad: "We'll have to come back here for dinner another night."
Host, super sincerely: "Y'all can come whenever you want."
Love it.
I was bummed out and mad those people canceled on you guys. I think in the moment while drinking they agreed. But after sobering up they realized they wanted nothing to do with it. The family at the end were great people and glad you two got to meet them and spend time with them. Awesome video :)
Yes it’s because of the drinkiing😂
I imagine they woke up hungover the next day and said "Did I seriously invite 2 men to come make us dinner?? 😬 I need to stop drinking so much." 😂
True. The guy at 8:32 was making shit up about someone not being well. What a douchebag!
@@onepunch7632 thats exactly what happened lol
Lmao. The bull riding had me cracking up. I’ve always lived in Texas. The stereotypes aren’t always accurate.. but this was non the less, hilarious! Y’all are always welcome to come cook at our house.
I want to go to Texas one day but I'm Mexican I don't think Texas doesn't like Mexicans 😢

I want to go to a cookout with this family and the family from Compton all together. Lots of wholesome American family time and yummy grilled salmon!!
I hate salmon, and I still agree with you! :)
These vids are super awesome man. I have a little depression funk going on and it’s incredible to me that they can totally turn my mood around. Thanks for the smiles and laughs man and please don’t ever stop making these. Also you should try going to an Amish community
Im right there with ya.

What a wholesome video!! It's crazy what amazing experiences we miss out on every day just cause we're not ready to leave our comfort zone.
Also, I laughed so hard when you guys rode that bull!!
Absolutely! There's literally so many experiences out there just waiting for us to find/create them 🙆🏼♂️
And yeah the bull was fun haha!
@@DiscoverConnection I agree. I've been trying to be more open since I've been following Yes Theory and your content, but I feel like I'm moving pretty slow, cause I'm not the most outgoing person there is.
@@nicolasabroad1514 you're not alone there, bud.. we need baby steps so we're not discouraged

I could feel your guys hearts drop when those guys didn't give you the call. Looks like it was meant to be cause you guys had a hell of an experience in the end! Much love from England ^^
I just want to tell you guys thank you just watching your videos has been enough to bring me out of my comfort zone I've been on my job for around 11yrs and have pretty much ignored the Spanish speaking people I work with just because of the Language barrier but over the past few months I've been pushing myself to do better and despite us barely understanding each other I've pretty much been adopted by a Guatemalan family and that's the best way to describe it we look out for each other they bring me food I bring them food the weird bond even without understanding each other is amazing and without this channel and that push to step out of my comfort zone it probably never would have happened so again thank you stay safe and keep doing what you do
Dave and Christie were such open, sharing people. What a great example of a good life.
That's just what they'd like the world to think
@@theserpentcharmer1313u bitter? 🙄🥱
I really hope one day you do a catch up series where you visit some of the people you have had connections with as a sort of continued connections thing.
From Ontario, but stayed in Texas for a while. Southern hospitality is real, some of nicest people I've ever met. Also the biome range is really vast, for someone who grew up thinking it was just a giant desert lol
As a Texan I was just in Canada and had a really good time! I’m glad you enjoyed Texas
Yeah, we have just about every climate down here. I've always wanted to visit your beautiful countryside. Maybe one day I can
I've always been told by those around me that I have a strange ability to "talk to strangers as if we've known each other for years"
It really helps in the service industry
Make sure you keep doing these cooking for strangers videos!! I could easily watch a dozen of them 😁

"Do you want us to adopt you?" (immediately) "YES" haha I love this video. Had me smiling the whole time. Have a wonderful day :)
Such a beautiful and wholesome family. You struck the gold mine in the end. Never give up!
This family, is absolute trash. They’ve abandoned their own family and treat them worse than dogs. But strangers , oh yeah. So great: 😂😂😂
man as a southerner its so amazing to get to see people experience southern life its so carefree and wholesome vibes we dont care ab doing drugs and going to clubs we just like having cookouts and doing karaoke and enjoying quailty time with our fams also southern people will be to most nicest and caring people youll ever meet
It took 3 days to get a yes, didn’t seem that friendly to me😂
"don't care about doing drugs" shotguns a mf 12 pack acting like they're not just as addicted as a crack addict lmao
@@zorrakas320 i mean i dont think many people would invite a random into their home
There are polite ways to say no. Saying yes then ghosting isn’t hospitality, it’s just rude
I don't know what you call drugs... They seemed pretty hammered to me...
It's crazy how life works. You were able to get someone to say yes to tattoing your face on them first try, but cooking for someone is a challenge. Another great video !
Not first try tho
Good job! You let someone ruin your face for RUclips.
So fitting that you guys got to experience first hand the fake hospitality that makes up so much of southern culture; but it's also such a relief that you got to see the other, more genuine side in the end. What a perfect representation lol. You guys did great.
@@ryan5856 if you're from Texas then you know it's the truth.
fake af....if you have a "northern" accent they automatically hate you..unless there are cameras on em
some people get too hungover to wanna do shit the next day. when theyre drunk they say this that and the third then when sober its a different story
lmfao fake hospitality is what id called what Martha's vineyard did when they saw an influx of 10 migrants and ran them out of the city faster than they came in 🤣
@@lafondawilliams - yep. They called the military on them. LOLOL
I think people are a little stand-offish about your offer because it's just so unexpected. I tell you though...you'd get a completely different response if you met people and talked with them and then said you were hungry or needed a place to stay, rather than offering to do something for them. I remember being broke down in a little East Texas town with no motel and had multiple people inviting me to dinner and offering a place to sleep. I had a friend driving up to get me back home but it was sure nice to know that people were ready to open their homes to a stranger in need.
This is 100% because people naturally feel like there’s a catch when someone offers to do something nice, but when you ask for help people are more willing with no expectation of anything in return
This would never happen if they were black
@@uekvowzkaebbzuvrgipqxhemmwbhe the same goes for how this would never come from a black man to a white one? So what’s the difference… oh wait there isn’t one
edit: you also unprovoked called a Mexican a taco eater in another comment. Seems like you’ve got quite a complex for self righteous hypocrisy
@@oki__ so Mexicans don’t eat tacos? It’s amazing how you think actual racism is not as important as a RUclips comment. Says everything about you
@@uekvowzkaebbzuvrgipqxhemmwbhe Hey everyone, we found the super-vaxxed!
THIS WAS INCREDIBLE TO WATCH. THIS FAMILY WAS EVERYTHING AND THE ENDING 🤎
WHAT AN AWESOME FAMILY I FEEL LIKE THAT EXPERIENCE WASNT JUST A GOOD ONE BUT LITERALLY FELT LIKE YOU BEEN APART OF THAT FAMILY SINCE THE DAY YOU GUYS WERE BORN.
Something wrong with your keyboard or are you just special?
Not that awesome of a family actually.
The dad looks like be could be a scary dude, but he's got such a big heart! The mom is so caring, I'm sure she's a mom to many, not just her own. 😂
Ive always wanted to just pack up everything and leave to texas. Ive heard good and bad but man Ive never even in my life met a family that cool. Well done boys thanks for sharing your adventures.
Can we PLEASE talk about how cute Hank is??? Like, oh my GOODNESS.
That guy got in trouble by the wife or something for inviting two strangers from a bar he had to have had come up with that story he said he had already unloaded the wood early in the morning like he ready to bbq but with out y’all lol
Great content so original and always loved watch this raw content 😊
Glad you enjoyed it 😄
This was amazing. Even when you weren't posting, for a hot minute, I would occasionally think. out of the blue, "what was that channel called...connection something? making connection...". I'd eventually find you, and my only complaint was ever; why can't there be more of this? So glad the hear you're committed, these days, and I'm excited to see more.
I love how in a lot of these videos, you guys don't preface with "We're a RUclips channel that- etc,"
You ask straight up, "Can we cook dinner for you in your home?" and that's how you get those genuine reactions.
My mom, a born and raised native Texan from Clear Lake City, would not have hesitated to let you inside, for the record!!!
Greetings from Costa Rica, your content is a reminder of faith and hope. ¡¡Pura Vida!!
Wow, thank you! 🙏🏼
*intense scene about riding the bull*
Dad: Are we gonna dust the fish with parsley?
😂😂 The way to that man’s heart is through food you can tell
Yall should just walk down the street with a big sign...ring doorbells and just stand there and look goofy, lol. Yall are my people!

Lets goo! Been waiting for a new Video for Months! ❤ Loved the Video where u cooked in the Mexican and the Canadian Kitchen! Keep up the Content pls :)
We have lot's more coming 🙌🏼
I absolutely loved the narration for this video. I want this person reading me bedtime stories and instruction manuals, that I don’t wanna read myself.
Heck, I want them to adopt me to! What a great group of people! Down to earth!
What an amazing family you met!Thank you for sharing
These past 3 years in America has slowly had me giving up hope in my country. At a 20 year old living in Indiana and it’s hard to find true country loving Americans nowadays. But this, this video right here had me smiling the whole way through. 🇺🇸
America needs many many many more families like these good folks. Oh and of course more Hanks 😄
I was having a very depressing day as it the anniversary of the lose of someone special. These videos lifted my spirits
This is a great series, I think you guys should keep going with it in as many places around the world that you can!!
We're going to do more for sure!
This is just beautiful! I have no other words than that, i wish the people around me were friendlier but I can't even get a conversation going without someone being rude. I love this!!!
asking people in a bar is a good way to say yes but a good way for no follow up. they are drunk and saying yes in the moment but as soon as they sober they regret lol
This family reminded me so much of my own. We don't own any animals or a small ranch like these folks, but the dad and mom are just the same. The way the guy working at the bar was over every day and basically a part of the family was just like my best friend growing up. It really struck me, thank you
This episode was great! I lived in TX for several years and have friends and family there-I love to cook too. Maybe I should try this next time we are in Texas
It’s not about the destination it’s about the journey… ❤
There is still good in the World and you guys are the example of it exemplified with the best intentions. Respect.
Nice video! You should try doing this in multiple US states, especially because they can differ greatly from each other
Caught this on my feed right on time! Thanks Brad and team!
Rofl they are drunk as hell havin fun lmao. Love it
Such a difference between the reactions of the Canadians and Americans. So glad I'm Canadian
Thank you guys for the video!!! I love what you do! Keep them coming!
Take care!
I’m so humbled by these videos you guys create. It brings me joy seeing a group of individuals who hardly know each other, having trust in one another, sharing the love of food & creating a meal together to then be enjoyed by everyone where you get to meet & get to know one another.. this truly is beautiful to watch. Its incredible how us humans tend to shy away from these situations, the one man saying his house was too small, excuses of having plans already. When if you were to just say yes, trust that person & get to know them, you would have made a long lasting friendship & memories that last a lifetime.
Thanks for sharing☺️😊
Also... Hank is by far the best part of the video... my man knows EXACTLY what he is doing... lol he's just out there having fun with you guys.
"are we gonna dust the fish with the parsley?"😂😂
The love was felt from my computer screen, what a genuine family an a great interaction!
Love the cooking for strangers videos!!! Keep them coming! ❤
More to come 😄
That narrators voice is amazing. He has the best calming texas cowboy style voice that I have heard in a long time. I don't know how you did it but its awesome. This video was epic.
Discover connection You always amaze me. I had to cook some food so I could enjoy this to the fullest & Just finished the video!! literally wow… even throughout the many times of asking, going around everywhere, the change of plans, the overall stress & difficulties, you guys managed to make the video really really cozy and it definitely felt like a personal achievement which many many creators have failed to accomplish throughout their whole career Idk how u do it but thank you team discover connection!!! You guys are awesome, and the thing about the tension and enjoying the moment got me feeling reallyy emotional while eating..definitely points off for that lol!!

Great video thanks guys! Maybe you could form connections with homeless people? From my experience the homeless community is very misperceived and most of them would give you the shirt off their backs if you asked, it would be cool to hear their stories and give them a home cooked meal that they probably deserve.. anyway just a thought thanks again for the great work your doing!

These videos make me feel some kind of way man. I wish I had the confidence to do some of the stuff you do. Much love 😇
The confidence is in you! You just need to connect with it!
What you do shows that people, no matter how different, are still able to find common ground and enjoy each other's company. A lot of people would think that Trump loving, gun toting, cowboys in Texas wouldn't be able to have fun with Canadian city boys. Once we sit down, have a drink, and eat some food we are friends.
