Maybe this idea is too silly, but I can try: ever thought of making "A Day in the Life of a PhD pup" video, in which we learn about the tough schedule of little Miss Moo as a Phdog? Idk, I just like dogs.

I’ve made some short form videos but never a YT video. Now that’s an idea!

I would recommend being careful going into Cassandra Clare she is a bit problematic… I’d look up the triggers for her books

@@KaelynGraceAppleThe Infernal Devices and the main Mortal Instruments aren’t very problematic compared to the other ones in the series. I found the main Mortal Instruments books to be quite progressive for the time it was written. And the Infernal Devices is overall fantastic.

I’m about to finish my bachelor’s degree and I have been feeling burnt out but this vlog was sooo calming. My schedule has been crazy lately but I definitely feel like your vlog made me realize I should be more active on finding that balance

You are going to love Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. To me it is her best book and I have been reading Beverly Jenkins books for over 20 years. Also take a look at her first novel called Night Song. That’s a great book also. Really you can’t go wrong reading her books. I’ve met her once at a book convention. You would love the background work that she researched when writing her books.

Obsessed with Moo and her adorable ears! As far as my weekends, if I am on my game, Saturdays are usually for picking up groceries and doing chores. Sometimes my husband and I will do a morning coffee date and either work or just chat at the coffee shop. Sundays we prep food for the week and I spend the evening doing self-care tasks like a full everything shower and painting nails. My goal is to not have to worry about major life admin tasks during the week so we can focus on work.

As a semi-OG Cassie Clare reader (I have been reading her since 2008/9), Sure you don't want my ramble, but because of the attachment I formed with the series from such a young age, I will always give my 2 cents. I would always recommend reading in publication order. In saying that, the first 3 Mortal Instruments books are very YA and written for a younger audience wanting more adult themes. If you don't get on with it, you could skip to the internal devices and last hours (the ones set in 1800s London). All you're missing is a back story to one or two characters and some of the "family house" dynamics. From memory, she did do a thing with the first books of the second half of The Mortal Instruments and the first two books. If the internal devices were minor, plot points would show up, and 14/15-year-old me ATE it up! I am still finishing the Dark Artifices, but I have been struggling with it , I think it's because I need a connection to the characters formed as a teen, so I am seeing a lot of areas for improvement in the actual writing, pacing, and plot....I think I am trying to get at knowing they are YA, and the drama is unhinged but in the best way!!!

I absolutely loved Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices trilogy. Chronologically, this trilogy is read first. There's FOUR different ways to read her Shadowhunters series. 🤯 I tried read the next series, The Last Hours but dnf'd. I then read The Mortal Instruments books 1-3 and they were just ok. Looking forward to some book reviews. Also, what happened to the monthly reset videos? Did you do one for March?

I recommend you check out Dorothy Dunnett’s Lymond Chronicles starting with Game of Kings. Provides an international perspective on early Elizabethan politics with dashing hero, multitudes of heroines and exciting adventures.
