You're not rasta You're hindu ,hindu believe that everything is god and god is everything and the word for that concept is called *Pantheism* you are what you eat and most certainly you are what you believe, rastas are only a few hundred thousand worldwide but hindus are. Over 1 billion so your winning over the rastas plus rastas only have one god while hindus have a infinite amount of god so your winning again 😅

The discourse engaged in by General (Gen.) Thau Thau and his student in this video is exactly the kind of thing that should be applauded and encouraged by the Rastafarian community. Even so, it is important to always remember that every journey begins with one step, and with the Rastafarian Movement being just short of a hundred years young a good dose of patience with the emerging nature and direction of the Movement is highly recommended. It is certainly the case that four men walking along the same road would tell a different story once their sojourn comes to an end. There is no denying the fact that the two brothers appearing in this series of videos are well-versed in Philosophy, Theology, African Culture, and a host of other fields. And this commenter thinks that the General has done an excellent job in answering the question raised in the early part of the video as to “WHAT CONTRIBUTION DOES THE RASTAFARIAN FAITH HAVE TO ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT WE ARE FACING” (sic). Accordingly, it should be the duty of every Rastafarian to ensure that in our effort to propagate the purpose, vision, and mission of the Movement, we always do our best to ensure that nothing that we may say or do would ever leave anyone with the impression that the Movement is on a suicidal track of cannibalizing itself. As Gen. Thau Thau recognizes, the genesis of the Movement could best be understood as a response to colonialism in all of its forms in the Caribbean, Africa, America, and elsewhere. From being an ostracized and marginalized “subculture”, the Movement has emerged into a fledgling institution with a developing philosophy of its own. Today, the powers-that-be have come to recognize that the Philosophy of RASTAFARI is, indeed, a force to be reckoned with. The General is correct in his insistence that no Rastafarian should be satisfied with the notion that it is sufficient for RASTAFARI to be viewed merely as a radicalized black version of Christianity; complete with the acceptance of the Bible as the “Word of God”, the imitative doctrine of the “Black Christ”, and so on. But the errors inherent in such kinds of views, as promulgated by Ras Boanerges, Vernon Carrington (“Prophet Gad”), and Prince Emmanuel who, respectively, founded the Rastafarian sub-groups of Nyabinghi, Twelve Tribes, and Bobo Ashanti, should never detract from the fact that all of those gentlemen have played a critical role in taking the Movement from its embryonic stage in the ghettoes of Trenchtown, Jamaica to its more developed stage with a following of more than 10 million adherents around the world. In brief, every social institution is initially shaped by the institution from which it has derived. And because the Jamaican pioneers of the Movement were acculturated within the Christian milieu, it should come as no surprise that their conceptualizations of any system of thought worthy of replacing their inherited beliefs would be heavily tainted by such former beliefs. The magnitude of the challenge might best be appreciated by considering that even Professor PLO Lumumba, despite his keen intellect and masterful erudition, finds it difficult and even impossible to emancipate himself from the mental shackles of Christianity. And because the followers of “Christafari” (as opposed to the adherents of RASTAFARI) do not possess the intellectual acumen of a Prof. Lumumba, it is incumbent upon those of us who have beheld a greater light to carry the baton of the Rastafarian marathon an even greater distance until the ideals espoused by His Imperial Majesty (HIM) Emperor Haile Selassie I, The Right Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey, President Kwame Nkrumah, and other enlightened African leaders and visionaries which has come to be known as RASTAFARI is eventually actualized.

Can I suggest another human who beyond taking sides which is the reason for so much human segmentation has spent most of his grown-up life vocalizing the seed that was in him and that, that was not corrupted by the environment, he grew up in? Born in South India and not known by many, Jiddu Krishnamurti realized that man due to a fault that is not his own over time has cultivated external growth but has done very little with what matters most; the inward man the same that can a revolution in man. Man has for example technologically kept himself alive in an incubator, only to send him to war to dismantle another to mean that the animal in man that is violence, aggressive, brutality has not anywhere over time. Time is not the solution to a human mind radical revolution which necessary to change. His suggestion is that an insight calls for an immediate mutation because all analysis brings about biasness. Rastafarianism may suffer the same destiny if time is used as the master. Check on him as he is huge on in getting us all to rejecting psychological authority. He magnifies how a human mind has not been slowed him down in building the society alongside his ills. Is the Rasta doing the same? He puts it that words and explanations are not the facts. Check on him and read his books. Freedom from the known is mind massaging. All the best. His name is Jiddu Krishnamurti.

I love your reasoning. I am also so pleased that you spoke of InI in Rasta, especially pertaining to the inner Spiritual and the flesh and the other. Also to remember that Rasta say Selassie I not the Selassie the first. We say Yes I meaning the other, we say Iyah , Jahman meaning that Rasta identify with the inner divine. We say Idren for Bredrin. Iawta for daughter. Rasta recognise word sound power. Which equates to the vibration in The Laws of Tehuti or Hermeticism. I sight that HIM in the Irit (spirit) is Ausar in the Kemetic tree of life. Rasta is the bridge for InI in the west to cross over to our Afrikan Self and African Spirituality. Love

Lol this as made me realised something about my Xitsonga language, we have this tendency of addressing one person as many ( n'wina) instead of you (Wena), I used to think it might be because of respect since we use it mostly on people who are older or of higher status but now I think it might be deeper

    • @valenciachauke4923

Very true. We also in Xitsonga don't have Ugogo or Mkhulu, we called them both Kokwani, not gender specific. But the conversation about idlozi vs ancestors confuses me more as someone who is re-learning about myself. My great-grandmother used to tell me about Ngwarhi refering to god and Swikwembu refering to ancestors. I was so young, I struggle to remember the details of my conversations with her, plus she was so old she was often confused herself.

I refuse to be a disciple to these walking African dictionaries because I do not want us to corrupt each other but I love the way they are giving us all study skills. 👏. Death is a means of purification.

The spritual realm is big.God is a spirit and he manifests himself withing us and around us.The electricity within you.The electricity within the world the electricity is everywhere. In the birds in the soil in every atom. What makes up the atom is God.
God is much more bigger than what i can decribe.God is life and death and everything that exists. What is to become and what was.
What keeps the universe in perfect balance and orbits.Who keeps the solar system intact. Why doesnt it just fall to nothing?
    God Is....
