    Whistle-blowers such as yourself, Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden etc are the true heroes in our society. Self-sacrificing individuals, prepared to give up their lives to fight the tyranny of governments which seek to subvert their populations by controlling the narratives while carrying out atrocities in their names. You have all my respect.

    Being a whistle blower genuinely nearly killed me & has hurt/disadvantaged my kids horribly (ironically they're same age as yours), and your opponents are even scarier!! I have so much pride and admiration for your strength and resilience. Your kids should be incredibly proud. We need to celebrate moral courage not stamp it out.

    Thank you for your service David . You have done your job well . My father who was also a Major in the NZ army , would proud of you and the courage you have displayed during this terrible ordeal . There are rules of war and your job to hold the army to account., has been admirable .

    Regarding the suggestions "Don't start a fight you can not win", those people are probably missing the ambiguities of "winning" - particularly in this type of case. I do hope you win your day in court, but even if you don't, if in the long term you can increase awareness of the anomolies you are trying to address, and ideally in the long term you help to improve whistle blowing laws throughout Australia, then you have succeeded in at least aspects of what you have set out to do.
    The fact that you are prepared to go to gaol for an indeterminate amount of time, for the sake of improving how our country operates, on several levels, shows not only an amazing amount of moral courage, but also true patriotism.

    Oh that was nice to see you David, I’ve been aware of you for years, I loved the interview you did with Julian Assanges father. It repulses me that everything is corrupt in our world yet the sheeple call me a conspiracy theorist. I only wish you could call them out more, expose the vast chasm of depravity, explain how the system works, or rather doesn’t, to people. How can you be in trouble for doing the right thing? It’s hard to respect authority. How can we win?

      Hey, Anna! Thank you, it’s a slow process, but reading your comment gives me strength. At least we now have an amazing opportunity to do something, in that I’m someone within the system who has no reason to lie, yet has been repulsed by what I have seen. Like Daniel Ellsberg before me, when people like me, I who are not ‘anti-war’ but ‘anti-lies’ speak up, eventually there is a chance we will get change. It may well take me being jailed, but it is a fight worth fighting, every bit as important as a world war, in fact it is probably ‘the world war’. Thank you for fighting alongside me 👊🙏🥊💪

    We are with you, at every step. There is no way that what the government is doing to you is right.
    To improve our country, to forever march forward and progress. We need to recognise the worst in ourselves, own our mistakes and wrongdoings and plan out how we stamp out those problems. We can't forget or ignore our problems after we have fixed them either. We should enshrine our mistakes with the why and the how we fixed them in our history, even though it might be painful to be reminded of them. This is how Australia gets better. ( same goes for every country really )

The political pantomime continues; our Defense system is broken, and governments have shown a lack of moral integrity to acknowledge the problem and fix it. We all hope for something much better; JUSTICE for instance; from the current government. Alas, thus far, it appears they simply want to continue the injustice, denial and their strategy of ‘shoot the messenger’.
    May you be acquitted of all charges! May history show, in no uncertain terms, that you are morally and legally RIGHT and that your truth telling was, without doubt, in the public interest.

    Mr McBride stands head and shoulders in moral stature above all those corrupt, insignificant and pathetic Australian and American politicians who are trying to destroy him.

    Dear Major David McBride.
    I want to say I hear you fighting for your identity, which is a man of integrity.
    And the place you have chosen to express that identity has been in your role in the ADF.
    Hearing that, I can totally understand you being willing to give your life to have your most valuable principal of who you are honoured. To live your principals. And to have to live without them, makes life not worth living, and therefore, the choice to face a lifetime in prison, is a no brainer.
    That to live silent to what makes you alive and present and satisfied, is no life to live.
    So, I applaud your commitment to yourself and to live that, shares with us what a principalled life looks like. It has become a rarity these days.
    Noble, dignified honour.
    The world needs your example desperately.
    I want to listen to you talk of human dignity as my bedtime story, as a salve for the despair I feel about the erosion of honour in our leaders.
    Your example feeds my hope for the human heart.

We’re owned by billionaires and multinationals and can’t shit without permission from next door.     The Brits may have let the Aussies down on those beaches of Gallipoli but that surely pales against the personal injury the Australian Generals have since inflicted on yourself and others who have bravely stood against injustice. Countless ADF members have become 'the enemy' for daring to speak the truth about in-service grievances. David raises a critical conversation that touches deeply on the integrity of our Governments and ADF Commanders. Too many ADF members have lost their lives and/or reputations for daring to uphold the values of our ANZACs. Keep fighting David... you have proved that honour and duty is worth the fight, albeit the greatest struggle.
    And on those times when you feel the weight of injustice bearing down on you, as often you may, remember always and take inspiration from those famous words by Teddy Roosevelt: “It is not the critic who counts, not the one who points out how the strong man stumbled or how the doer of deeds might have done them better.     damn this was so interesting Dave - I think you should be proud man, like you said, you're doing what's necessary regardless of the consequences - seriously powerful stuff man, I've found this conclusion myself in complete isolation in the past few years - it's very inspiring to see someone with your education and experience reaching these conclusions as well as putting your principles into action in such tangible ways (for example using the legal processes to do this the right way) - thanks again man, I think you give a lot of people hope that things can really change - that's so powerful

Your courageous act of exposing information that needed to be brought to light cannot be understated. As you prepare for your upcoming trial,I’ll stand by you , wishing you all the best. It is important to take a moment to appreciate individuals like you David who risk your own livelihood to protect and uphold the principles that our society holds dear. Your actions serve as a reminder that truth and justice should never be sacrificed, and that those who have the courage to speak out against wrongdoing deserve our gratitude and support.
    As I reflect upon the untimely passing of my dear cousin Cal, who tragically lost his life while serving in the Army in 1979. However, the circumstances surrounding his death in Townsville after he discovered illegal activity within the ADF have been shrouded in secrecy. He was in the process of speaking out when he died at the age of 19 so his story has never been told.

    Being an informed kiwi I'm bemused to have never heard of you and was very curious what happened to the Australian War crimes in Afghanistan. It wasn't until I watched Richard Medhurst's piece on you.

    what I find fascinating is in a business if you found an issue and were willing to fix it and provide a solution you would get promoted. But in a government institution you're a whistleblower. Same goes for the Clubs NSW guy. Just trying to fix the issues of these corrupt institution's. The only people being affected are the Australian pubic.

    I have a lot of respect for the turn around, and your decision. Personally I do not find the word whistleblowers the appropriate terminology. Wanting to defend the country and risking ones life in the process of giving the benefit of the doubt to people in charge. Then becoming conscious that the benefit of the doubt was betrayal of trust. The obligation is to have the right to speak and bring into the open. As I see it under any jurisdiction, it is the accuser and the court that is in trail. They have no right to presume otherwise. Unless they are willing to acknowledge that they are working as a criminal organization, that stands beyond justice and truth. What you are doing takes real courage, when I first came to Australia I met a good number of true blue Aussies. It is a pleasure to see that you are one, lately many are not even willing to stand for what is right.

My cousin is in his early 60s, a thalidomide baby. He was correct about the Debindox. Our youngest two adult children have Tourette's from Metoclopamide..

    Thank you, David, for being brave enough to stand up and do the right thing. Isn't that what soldiering is all about, at the end of the day. I simply can't believe why the government is focusing on you, when there are those that truly deserve to see in the inside of a courtroom. We're all wish you well and hoping that someone in the justice system can see what makes sense. Australia can only move forward if we have people, like yourself, that are willing to stand up and speak out for change.
