Pinion feathers are in the wings. That's joke is concerning crows and ravens... not parrots. Pinion feathers are the outermost primary flight feathers on a bird's wing. The term "pinion" can also refer to the terminal section of a bird's wing, which includes the carpus, metacarpus, and phalanges. The word "pinion" comes from the Latin word pinna, which means both "feather" and "battlement". Pinioning is the surgical process of removing a bird's pinion joint, which disables or restrains the bird from flight. The operation typically involves severing the second and third metacarpal bones to amputate the part of the wingtip where the flight feathers grow. Pinioning is illegal in many countries, including England, Austria, and others.
Ah Ha! A mystery has been solved! Deforestation is not due to human activity. It's all the work of Macaws! Thanks for the informative and entertaining video!
I have a 12yr old male Congo African Grey and he is the cutest and sweetest asshole you'll ever meet. I love him to bits and pieces but he will turn everything INTO bits and pieces 😅 there is no amount of empty toilet paper rolls, cardboard boxes, wood toys or tough to crack nuts that will keep him at bay... he loves doors and baseboards LLOL and for a bird that can fly he sure does walk around everywhere which makes it hard to keep track of his adventures 😅..he wasn't always mine, in fact he lived 10.5yrs with his previous owners, he talks like him, all the noises and whistles he makes are from his past home which I know he still misses greatly. But it takes a very special person to adopt a rehomed parrot, especially a larger bird knowing that they may not always bond with you or on the same level they had with their previous family ❤
Find the macaws favourite nut and only give them when you go into the aviary. I like in shell macadamia nuts. The shell is very tough for them to crack. You will make friends a lot easier.
16:21 I thought english ivy was toxic. It's listed as toxic every time I look it up. Also, mulberry trees, passion fruit vines, and pachira aquatica are my parrots favorites.
All birds have tail feathers that help them fly called pinions. Parrots have 3 and ravens have 4, the difference is just a matter of a pinion

Cute butt shot! 😂😂😂😂
You know exactly what you’re doing wearing shirts like that 👀
Don’t forget to WATER ur plants after planting them 🎉
14:34 classic, lol
That structure looks amazing but I’m pretty sure those metal beams are galvanized. Galvanized metal is toxic to birds.
That's a boy cockateil!
If your macaws are nesting you need nesting boxes ... you're gonna end up with an egg bound hen.
I want parrot 🦜
