The P class is looking real good in VR colours and l spose it really is the 2nd time it’s wearing the livery if you factor in it was originally wearing them in the 1950’s when it was a flat top T class as it probably has a few original panels still on her, as a sad aside l remember watching XP2018 hauling the XPT only minutes before it’s tragic accident as she went past my brothers property at Wandong when a short time later l heard the sad news.

Been on that train long term me ago. I took a trip to Sydney, took one look, decided the harbour was nice but the people there awful, got on the train and rode back south of the border to Vic. Sydney was crap, but the train trip was good.

Last I heard XP2018 is still at Chullora awaiting inspection to be repaired and is also owned by the Victorian government not NSW
