I like Empyrion much more than Space Engineers. Which is weird, because I'm an engineer irl. I've got more than 2500 hrs in EGS. When I tried Space Engineers, I dropped them after 30 mins or so. They're just boring compared to Empyrion. Yes, you can build more sophisticated stuff and build it in a more realistic way, but there's not much you can do with these builds. Empyrion, on the other hand, has a whole Galaxy to explore. Also, gathering resources and building in Empyrion is a lot faster and less grindy. BTW If you don't like how vanilla Empyrion looks and works, there's an amazing scenario called "Reforged Eden". It improves a lot of things, has better storyline and it's even less glitchy than vanilla!
Thanks for the other view point, this is why I ask these questions to see how others feel. Jason did go and re-try the game, so when we have time to sit down and film, we will do a more in depth video on his comparisons since he has played both. This was a nice breakdown, and gives me more ideas on what I can ask him, so thanks for the comment.
