Kinda sounds like it would be Grovyle's theme, especially bc I don't think the player had an emotional bond with him at that point, The sneaky, mysterious, quick theme matches the sneaky, mysterious, quick Grovyle
The flute you hear is a Nuzleaf's GrassWhistle. This GrassWhistle is unusual because it can put people to sleep, or cause insomnia. It's supposed to make the target feel anxious.
Whenever I hear this theme I think of grovyle bouncing through the dungeon (his walk style makes it look like he is hopping). Therefore I have dubbed this as grovyle's theme in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure it's future treeshroud forest but it can possibly be either of the two forests because both have a time gear, since both have a time gear, the sense of familiarity would still be there.
+Mudkip 3258 No because the graphics for both places are the same, Dusk Forest is literally Foggy Forest greyed out, there's even a flashback TO Foggy Forest. Treeshroud Forest is nowhere in the equation. Plus, Foggy Forest is also near a Time Gear, which makes it even more closer to the point. The one at Fogbound Lake.
There is a time gear in tree shroud first too...., also tree shroud forest has 20 floors, dusk forest has 8 and deep dusk forest has 12, so both have the same amount of floors, but it is still probable that it can be either of the two forests.
+Mudkip 3258 You're ignoring the fact that the areas have the same graphics. Treeshroud Forest has entirely different graphics to both Dusk Forest and Foggy Forest. YOU GET A FLASHBACK TO FOGGY FOREST where you feel THE EXACT same feeling. If it were Treeshroud Forest, there wouldn't be that, as you don't say anything when you are at Treeshroud Forest and the graphics are different. The forest may have expanded over time, that's not impossible. It's Foggy Forest in the future. Same graphics, you have the same sense of familiarity mentioned both times, and there's a flashback in Dusk Forest that displays Foggy Forest. You have to be really ignorant to not notice this.
When I first heard this song, I thought "This sounds so much like it could be from Zelda. Majora's Mask or Ocarina of Time." My favorite song in the entire game. :3
Certainly one of the guys who arranged this music (Arata Iiyoshi) had worked before for the sountrack of Zelda, like in the Dark World's music for example. You have a pretty good listener ear!
ik im 9 years late, but while i dont agree that this theme alone should have its own game, id totally buy a game with Grovyle and Celebi with this as the main motif/leitmotif kinda follow their whole story, probably include the mc, (though itd probably fuck with the whole "MC is you, you are the main character" thing... but, still...) Dusknoir, the whole thing... i dont even entirely care if its a pmd game, (even if it reasonably should be) just gimme that, ill take the whole stock
I like looking at Grovyle's walking animation with the music, cuz it looks like he's jumping in rhythm of it.

@@heldon7951 That's an excellent observation!
@@GBA-049 thanks fam :) I love talking about this game + soundtrack, the composers did an amazing job with it!

I’m sincerely glad, upon scrolling through the comment section, that I’m not the only one.
Tempted to transcribe this for ocarina
We all remember Grovyle's idle animation because of this theme.
Those memories that are so distant they feel like it was a dream...

Future Foggy Forest.
Come on, there's even a flashback for it :/
Plus our faint presence of familiarity mentioned both times.

The planet was paralyzed in "the past" (where the main story occurs) how could the forest expand.

PMD 2 soundtrack is one of the best video game soundtracks of all time
I feel this would be a perfect song for Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist!

the very beginning sounds like it could be in a Ghibil Studio movie
Menswear Shiba a lot of the songs from this game do haha
In my top 5 pmd songs
Remake this game already! It's the peak of the franchise
This song should get a game of its own! :)

Memories Of This Game
Corrupted Lost Woods theme :)
Thumb me up if you think someone needs to make an extended version of this awesome music.
The beginning sounds sorta like the Song of Storms
Never did get around to playing this one. I did play Red Rescue Team though! ^-^
I love the part from 0:27 to 0:38
It my fav theme in the game :)
I'm definitely getting grasswhistle vibes from this...
It is awsome :D
I'm getting Lost Forest LOZ Vibes from this....
does any one here that there are too different songs playing at once the maraca sounds and the orchastra sounds don't sound matched but it works
It's a mix. I hear both as equally prominent.
Oooh...FCKING AWESOME
I know right
sounds like somethin from a zelda game.
Celebi!
Ikr? :D
That marimba tho
Chapter 14 and 15 has the best music, scenario, and atmosphere of all games in the world, especially compared to Call Of Duty, haha
Really? My first thought was Kirby!!!
Are you trying to compare Pokemon with Call of Duty how?
Slenderman?
Well it is Nintendo after all, right? :)
Call of Duty looks like crap next to all things Mystery Dungeon (except for some of the graphics).
