I like how the things that seem like the smallest price at first are the things that add up to be the most in the long run because of how frequently they are bought. She should buy a stock or bond. Everytime the coffee urge hits could be a good way to start investing.
A budget is a must. I think she should also pay herself first (save) right off the top before any money gets divided for bills. That way she will KNOW how much money goes into groceries, eating out, etc and not have to guesstimate.

Graham, you should do like a dave Ramsey style thing where you can break down some of your own viewers living situations and budgets and provide recommendations. I think that’s the problem with Dave Ramsey. His solution always seem to be “oh u can’t afford it, then u need to move to a place u can afford”. But for some people, they have a high paying job in a high cost area but they have suck spending habits. I would listen to what Maria said @CyberLion. When you get paid, immediately put the money into a savings/investment account. Even try auto-pulling from that account. You learn to live without it. I suggest trying just 25 per pay check, see how that feels, and adjust to more if it is comfortable.
Doing awesome, keep going!:)
Graham is the kind of guy who saves 2000$ a month while making 24000$ a year
I’ll save $2100 per month while making $24,000 per year
The Graham Stephan Show Don’t tell the IRS about that extra cash.
Have you not seen the video "how I save 100% of my income" because that's it

This is a very underrated comment. You win.
that's assuming you are hiring them everyday of the week. and then not paying o/t on holidays and weekends.
That's ridiculous btw, 500 dollars a day is something a senior engineer earns
You're killing it in GTA. Big ups!

Upset Graham is some of the most entertaining Graham I've ever seen. What a beautiful video.
Tim C Graham should just pull the trigger and become an official financial adviser.
I can't stop smiling when he gets mad!

To be fair, I get internally angry at people's spending habits, too.
I know someone who's homeless right now. It's "bad luck"... NOTTT! It's his shit money management! Arggghhh!
>Shoot self in foot
>Act surprised when it hurts
I hope he'll never see my bank account, otherwise I'd need to call him an ambulance.
Maybe you should just ask him to review it. Would make one heck of a video, and you might get some interesting and useful suggestions.
That sucks man. Just the fact you can say that should be your wake up call. Not talking smack just hoping you change that up! 🤟🏽
That’s what I was telling my wife. We are trying to break our really really terrible spending habits.
😆😆😆😆
Ambulances are expensive, Graham will drive himself
You need to make a 20¢ coffee tutorial 😂
Hipster Madara please do it Graham!!!

I think he mentioned exactly how he makes his in one of his recent videos like within the past week ... if I’m not wrong it’s the one about the dude who only works 4 hrs a week and makes like a 6 figure salary ... for sure it’s one of the ones where he’s giving financial advice to people over the phone
Ya I’m not even liking this ironically that’d be killer OG content. It’ll get this channel exposure for people searching for “how to make cheap coffee that tastes good”

Faxx and everyone makes fun of me for being really frugal, but I feel like it will help in the long run.
Yup, that's what my bank statement used to look like. It didn't really hit me that I needed to stop until a year ago when one month I spent all of my spending money and dipped into my savings on stupid stuff.
If your salary is inconsistent, that’s even more of a reason to save.
It fluctuates with a base, so she can't get anything below 3k. But yes I'd save atleast 1k and pump up my emergency fund and then start saving 800. The feel of money working for u is pure gold ☺️☺️

Graham 10 minutes later: "It'd like to see her saving around $800 /mo"
This! 😂
Lol literally 😂
Well, because he analyzed her actual spending and noticed she has less than expected rent through a room mate. Changing your opinion because of newly acquired information isn’t hypocrisy, it’s logic.
I come to this comment section because your main channel is too competitive 😂

Glitter Fallout City this should give her even more reason to save 🙄
It's a low key way of saying "I can make $0 next month so might as well spend while I can"
right what kinda logic is that? She spends like a teenager at their first job.
I saw this at the time she was saying it LOL
My head hurt when she said this. Her budget is based off $3K a month so she could easily be saving $4000 some months! Just sounds like an excuse to blow her money lol
She really just need to stay home at this point that’s how i save the most money lol
CrystalCeeStyles BeautyVlog exactly ... she should not go out till she has saved up 6 months worth of emergency funds

Why is she grocery shopping at CVS??? I’m pretty sure groceries at a pharmacy are going to cost around the same as a Whole Foods...
Probably buying condoms and pregnancy tests

I was triggered every time Graham said Trader Joe’s is expensive 😂 cheaper than Albertsons where I am

Same here. Trader Joe’s much cheaper than albertson
Lmfao cringe statement how about not spending on outside food and try making food at home?
@@hojaeyun6747 Trader Joe's is a grocery store, where you buy groceries to cook with. I'm assuming you're from another country, however their comments are cringe because the cheaper way to buy groceries is save through bulk shopping in Costco, BJs or Sam's Club. Going to Trader Joe's is expensive relative to Walmart, but it's even more expensive relative to bulk stores.
Albertsons is rather expensive in most areas. If you want the lowest prices - you shop where the lowest-income families shop. That's NOT Albertsons & definitely not Trader Joes.
Trader Joe's actually isn't that bad if you stay away from frozen meals! They have fairly competitive produce prices and amazing $2 red wine!
I love Trader Joe's! I've seen so many cool food items and they usually are affordable
I always prefer their produce over Albertsons

I usually agree with you but you’re definitely out of touch with the grocery world 😂
Samantha Hammett agreed Lol! I used to work at giant which is a very affordable grocery store on the east coast. And Trader Joe’s is actually less expensive and I get fresher, healthier food lol.
I agree. I'm on a tight budget and shop at Trader Joe's and Chinatown. I do find some groceries pricy there, but the dry goods are cheap. I do check the groceries store's circulars and buy produce that is on sale.
I actually find that Aldi’s is cheaper, Trader Joe’s is expensive compared to other stores.
@@domw6682 Trader joe's is the only (edit: affordable) place with peanut butter that doesn't give me stanky gas (when consuming lots of it)

Kick the creamer Graham! You'll be saving more than half the cost per volume! We're talking between 5 to 10 cent coffee!
I would rather die then give up my creamer. On a side note - I only visit Dutch Bros and Black Rock for coffee when I am super duper tired and have to stay up. Which is rare... so yeah, making coffee at home saves lots and lots of money!

Graham, you should do like a dave Ramsey style thing where you can break down some of your own viewers living situations and budgets and provide recommendations. Sometimes its hard for me to relate to these millennial money videos because they all make more than me, but they also live in much more expensive areas. I would love to see you pick the finances of a low to mid income midwestern or southern suburban/rural person.
Mayla facts
i agree !!
I think that’s the problem with Dave Ramsey. His solution always seem to be “oh u can’t afford it, then u need to move to a place u can afford”. But for some people, they have a high paying job in a high cost area but they have suck spending habits. I feel like some people aren’t as truthful when talking to others, so the fact that Graham is breaking down by details, I agree, I think it’ll make a good Podcast.
Facts but Dave want you to go homeless to get out of debt

You can't say car "payment" and no debt.
Agreed although that’s not necessarily debt because her car isn’t necessarily an asset in the first place. Presumably if she stops paying her car they’ll just take it away.
Shed be in no debt if the car was paid off
If it’s $200 a month, I’m assuming it’s a paid off car with gas and insurance adding up to $200.

A little drop of honestly here from a bargain shopper. Many things at Trader Joe's are cheaper than traditional grocery stores, sprouts and whole food are VERY pricy. For example, bananas are only 19¢ a piece at traders, where as most other store are 24-29¢ a piece. Just wanted to share 🤷🏼♀️
