Love Gilbert. The world needs more comedians like him. Very unique persona. Can't fid it anywhere else. Same with music, actually. Even more so with music. Singers use to have such distinct voices but everyone sounds the same these days. I turn on the radio or a new comedy movie now, yeah, they're just very normal and boring actors and singers.
7:10 Sam Kenison put him over by bringing him in when he went a few times before he was ever invited on Howard by himself . Kind of like Norm Mcdonald put artie over by bringing him in whenever he was on
@@MrShanester117Howard had him on kore times than just plugging his stuff, he was one of his most frequent guests for decades…Howard also uses people until he can’t get anything out of you so dumps you or provokes you to cut ties
Gosh he was a super nice man and I feel even worse that he got fired from Aflac. I feel like he may have been really hurt by that. His persona didn’t seem to. Haha
He was. If you watch his doc, his wife says he cried. Which isn't surprising when you know how much of a money OCD problem he had. Probably sent him into a major panic episode.
@patrickhealy5773 Some might say that but all actors (including voice over artists) frequently have an outward “persona” vs. who they are as a person. Beyoncé’ even spoke of this. Few discuss it but in the future they will. It’s gotta be a tough balancing act. I think it’s why some without the skill set to handle. such a situation turn to substance abuse. Obviously, there’s much more to addiction than that. Be well.

He sounds like such a humble grandfather in his original voice. Shame he never used it more openly.
He often used his regular voice in sketches when he was on SNL.
A true legend, funny and outrageous and genius as hell. Totally unique; there will never be another remotely similar
Holy shit is that him Bob and Norm? Chefs kiss. Beautiful.
R.I.P Gilbert.
Great post
W video. The man was dedicated to his character. When u have scour the internet trying to find how he really talks then yk shit was real good

Interesting his voice was deeper at beginning of calls and gradually got more “Gilbert” hahahhah
He sounds like Abe Hirschfeld and Jackie Mason.
to be COMPLETELY honest i did do and will really really LOVE gilbert gottfried
God I love you. Thank you!
Howard used Gilbert for all he could. Then stepped over his dead corpse and never blinked.
Gilbert went on the show for one reason. To plug his stuff. You have no idea what you’re talking about. It was a mutually beneficial relationship
so, like he does with everyone?

I don’t notice much of a difference tbh. It seems like he just talked a lot louder in his public persona.
Serial Killer Gilbert

At 7:59 Fred with his eyes closed shows the true martian he is!

Is pretty lame Howard put that out there tbh, no reason to break the illusion.
