- Hey guys. Today on COOLection TV, we'll be looking at the Lightning McQueen Runaway Racer Mack Transporter from Disney Store. This Disney-Pixar Cars pack was released in 2007 and includes a Launching Mack Transporter, Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen, and Dinoco Lightning McQueen. All three of these vehicles are close to 1:55 scale and are not 1:43 scale, which is the scale of most Disney Store vehicles. These cars are also all plastic with no paper stickers (aside from inside Mack's trailer). This Disney Cars Mack Transporter is one of the most accurately scaled Macks for the 1:55 scale cars, as the other Cars Mack playset is smaller and less detailed. The Mattel Cars Rusteze Hauler also had paper stickers all over the cab and the trailer.
In the movie, Mack is a Piston Cup Hauler, responsible for looking after Lightning McQueen as the Rusteze semi truck. When Rusteze 95 himself gets lost, Mack is dozing off, but soon discovers he's lost his boss. Later in the film, Mack returns, this time in Radiator Springs with the press, to pick 95 Rusteze up and take him back to the race. Mack continues to work for Team Rust-eze since Lightning McQueen has gotten nicer.
Dinoco Lightning McQueen appears in a daydream where Lightning McQueen wins the Dinoco sponsorship and replaces The King. He wins the coveted Piston Cup and gets his own Hollywood movie premiere. He even gets a penthouse right next to the Hollywood sign itself. Unfortunately for #95, it's all just a dream and he still has to prove himself worthy of the Dinoco sponsorship.
Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen appears at the very end of the film when McQueen returns to Radiator Springs after he sacrificed his win in Los Angeles. Since then, he's gotten Mater a helicopter ride and has managed to get Radiator Springs back on the map. With all of the customers to be expecting, McQueen's gotta look nice to meet them all. This paint job perfectly accomplishes showing McQueen's change in personality.

Such a beautiful Toy, the plastic McQueens look really nice and is the most movie accurate Mack hauler ever. I wish I could get it so badly.
Yep, I completely agree. The interesting part to me is that it's very hard to find online. Then again, it could just be because Disney Store cars don't have the fanbase that the Mattel cars have. There are occasionally some on eBay but not very often. Thanks for watching.

I do remember BluCollection having a variant of this set: where Mack is metallic, and it has classic and Radiator Springs McQueen as opposed to this Mack not being metallic, and including Dinoco and RS McQueen.
I love that even inside the hauler, it has a LOT of detail, that's a thing Mattel still doesn't do
Yep, and one of the things that I really like about the interior of the trailer is that it has 2 phones in different places, which is movie accurate. McQueen talked to Harv from in the middle of the trailer on his way to LA and from outside of the trailer in Radiator Springs. This is also one of the only Macks that even has an accurate looking phone inside too. It's a shame Mattel never made a Precision Series Mack hauler. Thanks for watching.
@Minecraf75 yes and no. Mattel makes cool diecasts? The problem? Releasing them CONSTANTLY. I am tired of WGP McQueen and Cars 3 Mack Hauler getting rereleased every single year
@@andresreynoso7254 yes, back when i was a kid, i only had wgp McQueen, and really wanted the rust-eze McQueen, and a mattel mack hauler, i always complained that it wasnt up to the scale of the movie, the hauler was short, rusteze logo on top was small, and the hauler was even missing THREE whole sponsors, also, this only applies to a specific version of the movie, where mack's trailer, in the part where it has the racer's name, instead of saying "Lightning Mcqueen", it only said "Mcqueen", and i really wanted it like that, especially in the back, where the name would be bigger, and cover the top of the door/ramp

I had bad memories about that radiator springs lightning mcqueen car... I remember i was on vacation at a beach in vietnam and I was playing with it and then the waves came in and swooped it away...

Great video! I agree that this Mack is really nice and well scaled with the Mattel Cars, the whole thing is much bigger as it is in the movie compared to the down scaled Mattel one. This one has much better proportions and placements of the vents and launcher button on top as well as more room for the Rusteze logo, and the plastic Cars are great as well being as you said more proportionate than Mattel Cars. It's also a nice and creative concept having the trailer as a launcher. Though this Mack is a bit simplified and more play set like, he still looks really good. and I'm glad the Disney Store tried stuff like this especially back in the very early days. Keep it up!
Thanks man. Yep, it sure would be nice if Mattel someday made one this scale, but it's unlikely and there would still probably be flaws with it. Yea, I'm surprised Mattel has never done anything similar. The only time Mattel did anything like putting a launcher in the hauler is with those Stunt Racer cars from Cars 2. I'm thankful that Disney Store happened to make a few of the cars that Mattel should have. It's a shame Disney Store never released a Bessie diecast or playset. Thanks for watching.

true, the hauler is kinda simplified, which sucks, well only the mack semi, no handrails, mirrors, or headlights, and the back chords too that look like wires, the things that connect a real semi to a real trailer irl, theyre just red, instead of being painted white and black like mattel's semi, also the hitch is just a little pole thing, flat underneath it, it does suck that the decals have the copyright information stuff on the decals, they couldve just put it underneath it, but the launcher thing is actually awesome, too bad you cant open the hauler door without having to press the launcher button ;-;
@@patricioignacio-n2f Yea, it certainly would take a lot of customizing but we believe it is the best thing out there so that's something. The Mack Mattel made in 2006 was fine for the time but it's accessories can be taken for this, with the exception of the mirrors which I would personally take from Disney Store Mater

One of my friends from Church used to have this truck. One time i spent a day with them a long time ago when I was young, the trailer door was off, and i tried to fix it but did not have much sucess.

I had one of those sadly i lost it
I wish this old Disney Store Mack had lights on his cab, the side view mirrors & handrails, as well as an accurate fifth wheel attachment for his rear. I also wish that the hauler didn’t have the stupid copyright information along with the Mack name on the bottom right/left side of the hauler. But overall, this Disney Store Mack looks amazing and I like that opening feature to recreate that scene where McQueen jumps out of Mack’s trailer in Cars 1!
I 100% agree. It has a lot of inaccuracies, but overall, it's still the most accurate in terms of overall scale and model. I think with some customizations it could be very close to perfection. Thanks for watching.
I prefer getting the Mack Hauler from Mattel even though the only inaccuracy I found was the Lightning bolt and #95 on Mack.

theres something you forgot to mention!!! the liscense plates and the mudflaps!, macks mudflaps dont have rust eze logo and neither does the bumper have the liscense plate, same with the hauler
we he doesnt really jump out, one of the toys fell of on the control button for the door, mack was asleep, then snot rod sneezed waking mack up, causing him to wiggle around, causing mcqueen's tires to lose grip of the door
unlike mattel, this disney store mack hauler actually has the stuff that mcqueen has in the hauler in the movie, trohpies, logo, merch, even toys, instead of a toolbox and tires with a tire changer for some reason, mattel wouldve aced it if they actually did the proportions right, but hey, at least that is covered now, i think the disney store cars that this set came with are better, not only because they have some detail but also because they are larger, as you get older, things start to feel smaller, so thats another good thing, actually, this hauler is bigger than the 2006 mattel supercharged mack truck playset! 😎

Peter Murfitt thank you! Yea there were several variants of the same general pack. There was also one with just regular McQueen and another one with the same cars I reviewed but the Mack was completely metallic. I think there are also some small variances in the Macks but I’m not entirely sure. Thanks for watching.
@@COOLectionTV im pretty sure that metallic mack you are talking about is the even more expensive, and rarer, exclusive version of this set, and i forgot to mention, EVEN OLDER, comparing the exclusive one to the one you reviewed by box, you can tell which one is older, its easy to see since blu collection made a video in 2012 covereing the exclusive set, which i just ordered

I believe it was released in 2007, but I don't know for sure. There are several variations of this pack and I know the first one was released in 2007 and there was also a Metallic version that seems to have been released in 2008. I estimated that this was released sometime between those two so I believe 2007. Thanks for watching.

Little Kaspar yes. I have that set as well and while I do like its scale better than the Mattel diecast hauler, both of the Mattel versions have paper stickers on the trailer. The Disney Store Mack has actual decals all over, including the trailer. The Disney Store version is also easier to open since there’s a push button to open the trailer door, while the Mattel playset opens from the sides which you have to open to open the back door. There are definitely pros and cons to all three, but I think this Disney Store version is the overall best due to the detail. It is missing the cab mirrors as well as the lights on Mack’s hat, but the detail is overall much better and with some customization could be nearly perfect. Thanks for watching.
