I went on a V/line train to Maryborough from Melbourne and back a couple of days ago and passed Ardeer. I Didn’t see any locomotive hauled trains, but it was a very fun trip! Also, first.
Saw an N class loco, pulling a passenger train from Gippsland,power through Malvern station the other day,still a few around,but getting a rarer sight,give me the locos any day
“Ahh, Dear” station. They named it ‘Ardeer’ because the platform is so basic and it’s located in a faster growing area of Melbourne! Maybe if they added some upgrades and youth crime lowered (this is targeted) in Melbournes western suburbs maybe people wouldn’t be worried about getting “rolled” by some eshays😂 anyways, great video!
When are the Woke Vic Gov going to replace ALL the polluting Diesel trains with Battery power. No Gas in my Home but okay to pollute with Diesel trains.

Loco hauled trains run during the peaks and to Warrnambool so I'm not surprised you didn't see any.

One per day to and from Bairnsdale. The evening to Bairnsdale and the morning to Melbourne

The was the Canon XA60. I also use the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Sony AX53
They still run 1 or 2 locos to bacchus marsh most weekdays due to velocity shortages
