The Dragoons deserve the win, they stood by their oshi through thick and thin. And of course, there were also the mods (some even under NDA) on Selen's channel who set up a stream to spread the word about Doki's channel after her termination from Niji. Even if they don't win, they deserve my respect.

I really love how my 2024 RUclips recap shows that I was there on Dokibird's re-debut stream as one of the Dragoons. I wouldn't call Mint and Doki my Oshiis, but they are my favourites (Which is one step behind Oshii for me), and I'm glad they're still here continuing to stream to entertain us again. Honestly it's been a rollercoaster of emotions this past year... even the fact that Mint and Doki reunited on sheer luck due to the circumstances and not knowing how to approach each other. But we're getting everything we lost back, and we're moving forward with a bright future due to the community and support from people that believe and want to support Doki. Can't wait for 2025's WrestleTuber~
Not entirely sure if Fantomos were established before... the you know. Either way I'm happy with them both being here, and it's their decision of how they want to move forward. Doki wants to spite a certain company, while building herself from her previous work; and as for Mint it feels she prefers to move on from her past.
I think "wisps" was already the name of the fanbase before the Heaven Arc. Could be wrong, since I started following Mint during that time, tbh. Anyway, personally, I appreciate the name of the fanbase, because these seem to orbit quite a bit around names similar to "tomodachi", which isn't bad but I tend to like some variety.
As an original wisp (pre-heaven arc) I am glad she kept our name. I understand people wanted something cheeky like ending with dachi but mint understood this was her coming back, not a start over.
Normally when a vtuber leaves their agency, they can expect to lose a large proportion of their subscriber base, it's one of the things that makes the prospect of leaving an agency frightening. When Doki re-debuted, Dragoons _instantly_ started swarming to her in their (literal) hundreds of thousands. Over 200k new subscribers on the first day alone. It's impossible for there to exist a more dedicated fanbase. I'm sure those other three fanbases are very dedicated, but Dragoons are just in another league entirely.

The concept is not copyright, but trademark, that is a name to identify a product or service You can trademark the usage of an existing word in a specific context (as the fans name in this case, or windows as the name of an OS) but not in every existing context (you can call windows to not computer related things) While Niji could say that Dragoons is their trademark together with the copyright of Selen, they might not be able if either Selen or her fans where the ones that came up with that name It could be argued that Dragoons are not the name of the fans of Selen, but the fans of the person inside, in that case (spoilers) Doki has nothing to be worried (new Dragoons and old Dragoons are pretty much the same people) Also there is an argument that Dragoons as a fan name was abandoned by the time Doki fans took it, since there is no way Niji could use Dragoons without Selen there, so it was up to the take for the new Dragoons Finally there is also the fact that trying to make the trademark now and enforcing it, It would most likely give 0 money to Niji even if successful, and would definitely alienate even more the fans. No good would come from going that way for Niji

But it is objectively absurd not to be nominated for this when she is iconically known for changing models multiple times per year, every year. Nobody in the business has as many models as Mouse, for crying out loud. But, that's just the nature of the beast for these reward shows. doki really is the perfect vtuber for the person who isn't normally into vtubers. only other ones i can think of right off being in that kind of lane are pippa and _somewhat_ tenma and kirsche. the memes and clips and such that i see of doki are very different from the memes i see of most other vtubers. they're almost never the horny moments, and almost exclusively the fails and funny moments. just as one example, i saw few clips of doki playing huniepop, and they were often safe for work despite the game. conversely, most other vtuber clips of that are the vtuber being down bad or something else sus.

Most VTubers' viewership comes from "just chatting" and lose viewers when they play games, but Doki is a true gamer, and I genuinely think she'd be just as popular if she switched to a face cam or IRL content like Kuro or Kson. It doesn't hurt that she's perfectly fine leaving her IRL face on her Twitter from back when she was streaming/promoting her artwork and wasn't a VTuber yet.

Tbh Doki's already taken quite a bit back. Not just the Dragoon fan name but her new model from the same mama which has callbacks to the Selen model, as well as her WrestleTuber event just under a new name. Reconnected with some others who are also no longer from the company, most notably Minto. And through the passage of time given Mint is such a natural bridge she'll likely reconnect (or already has) with some other coworkers still there albeit privately as they'll never stream together unless they leave too (Rosemi in particular I have ZERO doubt they NEVER lost connection) Nijisanji may have taken a lot from her and it sucks but she's already taken so much back + more new things and achievements without them! It's one of many reasons why I'm done with discourse about Doki "dunking" on them whenever she racks up another W; *she already won* and I honestly believe it's healthier to look forward the same way Doki is~
I watch a lot of people but I'm mostly a phase fan, but I have to say that the fans of ex-Niji talents are great. Doki's Dragoons and Sayu's Synchronites are the two most loyal and supportive fandoms I've seen on stream. U-San's doesn't stream a lot, but their U-Reis are also pretty chill from what I've seen After all the support that Doki received, the Dragoons 100% deserve this prize

I can understand Michi's view on wanting to start off on a new slate. Though for Doki's case, she was pissed off with how her previous job treated. Like she was depressed to the point shec almost attempted hef life TWICE and no one withon that company gave any care since they knew about it. So her taking back the fan name "Dragoons" is pretty much a big "fuck you" and also telling them that she is well off on her own. I really love how my 2024 RUclips recap shows that I was there on Dokibird's re-debut stream as one of the Dragoons.
I wouldn't call Mint and Doki my Oshiis, but they are my favourites (Which is one step behind Oshii for me), and I'm glad they're still here continuing to stream to entertain us again.
Honestly it's been a rollercoaster of emotions this past year... even the fact that Mint and Doki reunited on sheer luck due to the circumstances and not knowing how to approach each other.
But we're getting everything we lost back, and we're moving forward with a bright future due to the community and support from people that believe and want to support Doki.

I think "wisps" was already the name of the fanbase before the Heaven Arc. Could be wrong, since I started following Mint during that time, tbh.
Anyway, personally, I appreciate the name of the fanbase, because these seem to orbit quite a bit around names similar to "tomodachi", which isn't bad but I tend to like some variety.
As an original wisp (pre-heaven arc) I am glad she kept our name. I understand people wanted something cheeky like ending with dachi but mint understood this was her coming back, not a start over.
Normally when a vtuber leaves their agency, they can expect to lose a large proportion of their subscriber base, it's one of the things that makes the prospect of leaving an agency frightening. When Doki re-debuted, Dragoons _instantly_ started swarming to her in their (literal) hundreds of thousands. Over 200k new subscribers on the first day alone. It's impossible for there to exist a more dedicated fanbase. I'm sure those other three fanbases are very dedicated, but Dragoons are just in another league entirely.
Yeah, I think the Dragoons take that award, and deservedly so. They were ride-or-fucking-die with Doki... if that ain't dedication, I don't know what is.

you know, thinking about it... they could of if they where competent. like the one company that copyrighted the word "sky" and caused problem for Microsoft when microsoft came out with the "sky drive" now called "one drive" and almost forced "no man's sky" to change their name.
The concept is not copyright, but trademark, that is a name to identify a product or service
You can trademark the usage of an existing word in a specific context (as the fans name in this case, or windows as the name of an OS) but not in every existing context (you can call windows to not computer related things)
While Niji could say that Dragoons is their trademark together with the copyright of Selen, they might not be able if either Selen or her fans where the ones that came up with that name
It could be argued that Dragoons are not the name of the fans of Selen, but the fans of the person inside, in that case (spoilers) Doki has nothing to be worried (new Dragoons and old Dragoons are pretty much the same people)
Also there is an argument that Dragoons as a fan name was abandoned by the time Doki fans took it, since there is no way Niji could use Dragoons without Selen there, so it was up to the take for the new Dragoons
Finally there is also the fact that trying to make the trademark now and enforcing it, It would most likely give 0 money to Niji even if successful, and would definitely alienate even more the fans. No good would come from going that way for Niji

But it is objectively absurd not to be nominated for this when she is iconically known for changing models multiple times per year, every year. Nobody in the business has as many models as Mouse, for crying out loud. But, that's just the nature of the beast for these reward shows. There are always going to be some silly oddities that crop up, like this.

doki really is the perfect vtuber for the person who isn't normally into vtubers. only other ones i can think of right off being in that kind of lane are pippa and _somewhat_ tenma and kirsche.
the memes and clips and such that i see of doki are very different from the memes i see of most other vtubers. they're almost never the horny moments, and almost exclusively the fails and funny moments.
just as one example, i saw few clips of doki playing huniepop, and they were often safe for work despite the game. conversely, most other vtuber clips of that are the vtuber being down bad or something else sus.

Most VTubers' viewership comes from "just chatting" and lose viewers when they play games, but Doki is a true gamer, and I genuinely think she'd be just as popular if she switched to a face cam or IRL content like Kuro or Kson. It doesn't hurt that she's perfectly fine leaving her IRL face on her Twitter from back when she was streaming/promoting her artwork and wasn't a VTuber yet.
Honestly, I think that's why I come back to her streams when I hardly watch vtubers anymore moreso than anyone else. I was never into all the idol stuff anyways. I just like funny people.

Tbh Doki's already taken quite a bit back. Not just the Dragoon fan name but her new model from the same mama which has callbacks to the Selen model, as well as her WrestleTuber event just under a new name. Reconnected with some others who are also no longer from the company, most notably Minto. And through the passage of time given Mint is such a natural bridge she'll likely reconnect (or already has) with some other coworkers still there albeit privately as they'll never stream together unless they leave too (Rosemi in particular I have ZERO doubt they NEVER lost connection)
Nijisanji may have taken a lot from her and it sucks but she's already taken so much back + more new things and achievements without them! It's one of many reasons why I'm done with discourse about Doki "dunking" on them whenever she racks up another W; *she already won* and I honestly believe it's healthier to look forward the same way Doki is~
I watch a lot of people but I'm mostly a phase fan, but I have to say that the fans of ex-Niji talents are great. Doki's Dragoons and Sayu's Synchronites are the two most loyal and supportive fandoms I've seen on stream. U-San's doesn't stream a lot, but their U-Reis are also pretty chill from what I've seen

I am proud to be a dragoon. After hearing doki’s story with Niji and hearing how they treated her, I grew a strong hatred for Nijisanji because of that. And I decided to support Doki through the hard times she went through. And now here we are in 2024 and Doki is thriving and living off of success. Dragoons forever!!!!!

Literally I'm mainly a holofans & started becoming part dragoon a year or so. So i cannot say that I'm a fully fledged dragoon. But most if not all holofans acknowledge that dragoons are anleague of their own in term of loyalty. From the rise, the fall, almost losing their oshi, and the rebirth, they are by no doubt, the most dedicated and loyal fanbase. It is like, we unanimously acknowledge the dragoons. It's not that the dragoons should be honored by that achievement, it is the achievement that should be honored to chosen by dragoons
