White Cement - The Designer's Palette | Award Winning

This is an award-winning short film completed in 1989 about the virtues of designing and building with white cement. Shot on 16mm film with an Eclair ACL camera and an Angenieux zoom, we tried to present the architecture as something new - something you might pass by each day but never really notice. Shot across the U.S., I'm still happy with the look and feel of it today. The film is leisurely paced, allowing the imagery to sink in and inspire architects and designers. We wanted the best imagery and color, so film was a natural choice in 1989.
