- My dog, Nanook and I head out by boat to check some of the last beaver traps of the season in hopes of filling my mandatory minimum-harvest quota. Success means skinning and a cookout over the fire in celebration. Plus I share some of my plans for next week's video!

I was told I was a disgrace when I ate beaver meat from my trap line in the 70s. Darn good in my opinion. That was an awesome video, very interesting. Thank you very much!
Thanks. People don't know what's good for 'em! Cheers
I don't know what they would think of me, Lynx back straps are fine eating as I'm sure you know.
That was the best beaver catch and cook I ever saw! From the grin on your face leaving the beaver house to the perfectly cooked meal this video was fire my dude!! You nailed it from start to finish with a Nanook assist that stole the show lol. Can't wait for your next camp, catch and cook fishing adventure bro. Congrats on meeting your quota! Now where's the super like button??
Jason! Thanks a lot man! It'll be up next week.
Thank you for showing how to skin a beaver for fleshing, & tanning, to use the hide.
So glad to see your back on RUclips these days!
Thanks, William. Appreciate that man. More next week!
What a ripper Clint. I sub to many like and interesting venturers but your absolutely favourite at the moment. Love your stuff and pursuits. I will probably never see a beaver in my lifetime bit how interesting is your hunt, prep and food source. Cheers mate. 🇦🇺

Great video! Nice work on getting your quota. You are living the life
Beaver, beans and bannock. The classic pilgrim diet 👌🏻
Keep them bowels rumblin'!
As a trapped UK city dweller I am so envious of your pace of life in serenity and solidarity and watching your videos helps me to experience a small taste of it. I am looking forward to your upcoming fishing video! Stay strong and thanks for the content ✊

The video was great. I really enjoyed and paid attention to the skinning process. Hope you are able to do more how to videos in the future.
I will do a dedicated skinning and butchering tutorial this fall at some point and really dive into the details. Thanks, Andrew!
Great video.
Great video. Thanks! Good to see your health has improved.
Educational and entertaining
Thanks so much Jeff!!! Glad you liked it.
So great to see videos from you a bit more regular at the moment. I wondered if you have or could do a video or part of a video explaining trapping / trap lines to someone who has no knowledge and is not from Canada. The reasons for it, the uses, do you work on behalf of someone etc many thanks. Cheers from Scotland.
I will do that! Thanks friend.
Always exciting to see another Clint Zold video upload, and this one did not disappoint as always! Excellent work, thank you 🙏
Hey, thanks! More on the way!
So glad to see you again! Hope you keep posting ❤️
Have a couple more on the way. Filming another soon! Thanks, Jeremy!
I agree. Great watching and interesting. Cheers
Nice video n skills, wish i could get a plate of that.
Man in UK strangely fascinated by man catching and skinning beaver in Canada. Nice one Clint, stay well man
Thanks a lot man! Who knows... I heard they might bring some beavers back into the UK one day lol Cheers man
Yup. I do agree. Beaver is a fine meal . I recently made a roast with beans and fiddleheads
Soooo. Good!!!! I trap close to 100 beaver a year. I never realized there was a quota on them on a Canada trapline. What is the quota? You drink fine beer my friend. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. PeaceY
Where abouts do you trap? 100 beaver a year... That's a lot of skinning. I'm just starting to find some speed with my fur handling now. Ya, all public land here is divided into traplines given to a head trapper who in turn can take on helper-trappers. Most provinces don't have a mandatory quota as far as I know. Just Ontario. My line is about 100 square km but my quota is really small - 15 - but being sick for so long, plus a really late ice-out meant that I had a super small window to scout and set traps. I was going in totally blind. There was 2 days left in the season when I pulled these traps. Still green behind the ears doesn't help either! Cheers to you
Adirondacks in New York State. Not any money in the fur anymore. I do nuisance work for camps during season which helps. I use some of the meat for coyote, fisher, marten. 50th year of trapping this coming season 2022.
@@jackofalltrapping6181 That's awesome. I've seen some of that country on YT watching that Andrew Camarata guy(I think he's in new york...) Gorgeous land.
So awesome you're uploading again! Love the content.
Thanks a lot, Brian. Appreciate that!
You’re videos and content is absolutely amazing brother!!

Drove through there yesterday! Cheers man :)
@@ClintZold cool! Next time you're down this way we should have a 🍺 I would love to pick your brain about hunting and trapping.
Het another one out the oven bro...thank you
Thanks for sticking around man. More to come.
Good stuff Clint, glad you made quota..
Thanks man. Was sure a load off my mind.
Are bears and bugs not an issue while hanging castors on the cabin wall?
No issues with bugs. Bears are more than welcome as they end up as dinner lol
That's awesome.
How big is your trapline? Or what's the area size?
I've got 100 square km or so. Lines get smaller south and bigger north of me.
Is that a HIM tattoo on your left forearm?
haha sure is. Remnants of a melodramatic youth ;)
@@ClintZold I had to do a couple looks at it while watching. Not many people know the band HIM. I still listen to their music. Great video too. Love the in depth tutorial.
@@myhikingadventures6777 I got the '...And Love Said No." album when I was 13. No one sounds like them, that's for sure. Hypnotic melodies. Love Valo's deep, baritone vocals.
nanook is looking as fiesty as ever lol that beaver looked tasty always appreciate when you drop a video first thing I watch when I get home from work
Thanks, Mark! Cheers buddy
