- Every Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit ships complete with everything needed to install, including our Unrestricted and Heat-Wrapped Stainless Braided Clutch Line (eliminating the need for the "drill mod"), all necessary hardware, and easy to understand instructions. Installation generally takes 60-90 minutes and adjustments can be made at any time with minimal tools.
Nice vid but i can barely hear your voice with the background music
I would mention 2 things for someone replacing the factory master cylinder. 1. In addition to the 2 nuts on the u bolt inside there are 2 serrated washers behind the u bolt that must be removed. 2. With the engine in the car it is nearly impossible to get to the master cylinder under the brake booster without first removing the brake booster. My experience from replacing mine on my 2000 camaro SS.
Ya man i got one of those washers myself just one and just realized this. Like why?!?! Why is that there.😅😅 not quite sure how im gonna kill it either but im tryin to figure it out now hahah
Just did the install on my 02 z28 with the trans already out, I’m not sure if it’s the same with it in. A few things that helped me were removing the reservoir and its hose from the master so I could slide it under the steering rack easier and I pulled the whole thing out from under the car instead of from the engine bay. I did not need to remove anything to get it out. Just remove the reservoir, detach the line on the trans, then the 2 nuts and on the u bolt to remove the master
is this even possible to do with the engine in the car? seems impossible
About to start on mine and looks easy with no engine 😂...wish mine was out but oh well
You mentioned using the LS style slave. I have an LT1, what would the benefit be to change to the LS style slave when doing the Tick MC?
I ordered the hawks 3rd T56 mag F converison for my 2000 ws6 did the covert I have a fully built lq4 afr heads comp 656 lift cam etc etc. Factory master went out 2nd time taking it out to try and tune on the road. All my friend say this is the way to go thats why Im here.
Helped TREMENDOUSLY! Thank you for the amazing product and this video. Worked perfect on my 2002 SS
I assume this is similar for a 96-97 lt car? Keep up the great work over there at Tick!
I got the same question lol
Considering the car is clearly a 93-97 Lt1 car, yes. I have no idea why the video says its for 98-02 when they arent even working on a 98-02 lol.
So does it not need the clutch pedal retaining clip be in place after the system is put in?
Did you figure out if it needs it or not?
@@NoMercyGTCS yeah I got it it clipped in eventually, and I got the clip in as well.
It take little more pressure, but it will sit with enough space to where you can get the clip on, and even getting the clip on takes a little extra force as well.
I just wish these did not cost $12,000 plus tax. Only elites can afford these tick parts.
$330 is a bit short of $12k...
