I've got one of these and just love the sound it makes as well as the convenience of it's one box functionality. I moved house downsizing recently and it had to go back in the box for a few months and I really missed it. I'm so enjoying having it back in use again. Using the deluxe streamer version of this really has converted me to the joys of streaming. Now I've upgraded Ethernet cabling to connect it to the internet and a new internet switch as well. That's the only problem with the Goldnote. When you hear how well it sounds with your best signal input (turntable for me,) you want to try and get all the others up to near that level too. I still miss the sound of tubes however and my 35 year old Audio Innovations amp. Think I may add a tube headphone amp at some stage as I'm now in an apartment and the neighbours might appreciate that too.
What benefits would you get if you used it as a pre amp and added a power amp, just learning so wondered what would difference would be. Been looking at a pair of KEF Reference 1 Meta speakers and was told this Gold Note the deluxe version was superb for those speakers.

This not be a fair question: How does this unit compare with the Aavik U280 (Class D), Hegel H600, Dagostino Progression, Burmester 032?
