Dreamcast and arcade are not the same, there a few graphics that are made of 3d polygons in the arcade while the same are made of flat 2d sprites on the Dreamcast, this only happens on a few specific stages/courts while playing doubles.
II noticed that in the arcade version players in certain situations do the jump smash while in the dreamcast version they do not. I think the ps2 version on this aspect is the same as the dreamcast version. Seeing the jump smash is something else entirely, it makes the game much more fun.

Luckily there are plenty of older titles to keep us occupied. But yes, a new VT would be very welcome.
