- "Waymore's Blues" was written by Waylon Jennings...
May 24th, 2014 I went to the River Road IceHouse in New Braunfels Texas to record My good friend Cody Jinks and his Tone Deaf Hippies. They were opening for this band from Flint Michigan, called Whitey Morgan and the 78's. Those guys were kewl enough to let me roll cameras and such for their set as well. These videos are the results. I was completely blown away by these guys sound. VERY CLASSIC Outlaw Country sound. Absolutely love the steel, and the lead singers voice has tones and influences of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings to name a few. Give these guys a listen, and if you ever get a chance to catch one of their live show, I highly recommend it!

I just found these guys thanks to Kevin Costner's new series...Yellowstone.
I heard their song..."Me & the Whiskey" in a bunkhouse scene of Yellowstone & googled the lyrics that I could hear & make out & then found them on RUclips.
I ordered every CD they had out & listen to them everytime I'm in the kitchen cooking...WHICH IS EVERYDAY!!!
LOVE THIS BAND...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!
My dad died 12/31/15...he always loved the "outlaw music". I wish I would've found these guys sooner...dad would've loved this band & maybe we could've gotten to be see them in concert before he died.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Whitey is Awesome, but the writer of Whiskey and me is Gabe Marshall... check out his version... ruclips.net/video/_G-qvRTKu5w/видео.html

This guy is BEST!
Damn fine job on the steel. It’s hard to compete with old Ralph Mooney but it’s damn fine playing.
some of the best steel guitar on the internet....

That sob is crazy as hell!! Love it 😍🎶🎶👊🏻

The steel was real! Good shit!
Badass!! Happy Birthday Whitey🎂
I left kansas to move to San Antonio. Not goin back! :-)
Make me a place, I'm heading down
keeping it country
Fuck yes
This just blew me away ! Better than the original. You boys done ol Waylon proud. I'm sure he's looking down and grinning. Good shit !
😀 no way, not even close. First, 2 million songs that use a similar rock beat, why in the hell would you replace the waymore blues rhythm with a rock beat. Its best part of the song. I would refer you to the lost outlaw concert of Waylon's.
blasphemy
Only version that is possibly better than the original is Waylon doing it with the 357's
Very cool, honestly prefer the video of Whitey doing this tune at the Sonic Ranch tho
When are you coming to Kansas?
Awesome ;)
Thanks for the great love and support you show me as a special fan of mine, I hope you won't stop listening to music, and thanks for your sincere
Compliment and love towards my music 🙏
Pretty fucking good for a truck load of fucking good ole yankee's. AWESOME
🤙🏾💥💨
Always sounded better with Benny James on guitar, but a great band all the same.
Damn fine cover but Waylon it is not!! 🤘
fuck yah really country
kinda sounds like kariocki night sorry
needs back up singers bad
Charles Mullins fuck off
Do you say that when people have an opinion when you're in front of them? I bet you don't! Joe Harrell
I don't think there's anything wrong with this version...back-up singers or not.
