Not to mention they are way more recent than some alleged rich fella. At the end of day, that's effectively the long and short of it mush - he was (supposedly) loaded and had a lot of land. Think about how much more history there is to learn about Germany/Russia over the past century or so. You need to understand that just because there's lots of black people in your school it doesn't mean that's the case in every school, because it definitely is not.
