Back to Smithland Dam for some quick Bluecat action

Hal and I went back to Smithland Dam with frozen skipjack and chicken. The bite was hot at first but the sirens went off and we had to move because they opened another 2 gates

We fished today. The post spawn hot bite appears to be over. We caught 8 and the largest was only 15 lbs

Is It to shallow put your boat in below the dam? or are you putting in at Smithland?
