Gig economy is a joke in general. More time for low income. Reselling is king! I did 2 hours of work today and already almost $400 in sales. Learn different categories and sell on EBay. More time at home or doing something fun
eBay takes 10% of sales. How much was shipping? How much profit remains after expenses? How much of the profit will be reinvested? The remainder is what goes in your pocket. You also need to be careful with eBay. If the customer says your item is defective then eBay will force you to give a refund even if you don't offer refunds. I had this happen with a VR headset. The only way to resolve it was to prove that it worked - at which point eBay cleared me to keep the money and the item. It worked out in my favor but it took a while to resolve. Overall it's a lot of hassle for 'okay' money, but is a viable alternative to a traditional career path with enough work.
@@xMattBinghamx I reinvest 100 percent. eBay takes 13.3 percent. Mercari takes 0%. It’s better than driving around for 8 hours to make $150 after you take out gas and other expenses not much left
40$ spark plugs, 30$ oil change, buy yourself a hydraulic jack and start saving money. It baffles me people who are in the delivery sector and don't service their own cars. That's a huge chunk of profit you're just giving away.
DoorDash loves me in my market, I see those Blue Platinum “High Paying Offer” almost every other order, I love it. It gets me going, my blood pumping. 😊
Im pretty sure why it's been so slow for us is everyone stocked up for the hurricane. They spent money that they hadn't intended to spend, and they have food stock, so ordering out doesn't make sense.
Better make sure you change that transmission fluid. I’ve been hearing a lot of shit about their transmissions. There’s one guy I follow. He has a 2019 Toyota Camry SE with over 300,000 miles. He does a lot of rideshare and he was just saying in one of his videos he had to put in a new transmission because he didn’t do his first service until 120,000. I would spend the extra money and get that fluid out of that transmission, my Toyota Camry that I have it’s a 2016 SE with the six speed automatic transmission car initially only has 86,000 on it now I will be doing a transmission fluid change like really soon here
You are going to wear out your car and you are making nothing. Good thing you have youtube monthly income. You will need it to repair or replace your car.
You can only make money driving Uber in my town if it’s slow, otherwise too many drivers show up and it’s pointless. Started my own Black Car company so I can sell rides on my own for 4x the price when I’m the only car in the road. I skip most standard busy times because there’s 12 uberx drivers sitting ready to go in my town of 10,000 people. It just doesn’t work. These people do one ride an hour until the last guy standing makes an extra hundred bucks. Such a struggle
Maybe we need to fill out the surveys sent out to see if things can change after hearing multiple complaints. I think the only drivers that really fill them out are the new drivers so everything seems great in the company's view
There is no winning the app forces you to basically make under minimum wage. After taxes and all expenses you’re basically making nothing…That’s not trash talk either it’s true
And the storm is not even gonna be that bad. I’m literally sitting here watching the news. It’s rained at my house maybe three or four times and that’s about it.
I think that possibly a cell phone signal booster should help. Because it puts your cellular signal out farther for the cell towerss to pick up. Thats what the scammers do in Florida I have heard. (Very reputable and trusted source). Just saying. Might be worth a try. Could always return it.
Bruh 😂 that sounds legitimately smart but dumb af unless that whole bridge take an hour to cross. I do that loop every time I’m down in st pete zone. The whole takes about 15min without heavy peak traffic. You’ll save one minute drive 5mph less.
Sitting out front of a busy location and interviewing gig drivers on what kind of orders they just got why did they take it and what participation trophy they have just might make for some interesting yt content t
nawh, at least from my experience, gig drivers are a bunch of liars. Back during covid I'd occasionally run into other drivers who spark conversations about pay and they'd say ludicrous things like "I'm making $60 an hour"...meanwhile they're sitting at an Ihop for 30 minutes waiting on a single order of pancakes, and I'd be there with a smile saying "oh wow, nice", but in the back of my head I'm just thinking they're full of shi%. 99% of drivers come from poverty, and they have too much pride to tell others they are making $20 an hour on average, and that they are behind on bills so they are out scraping together whatever money they can through shi% paying orders. The majority of drivers lie through their teeth about how well they are doing if you'd ask them in person because nobody wants to appear poor and desperate.
I give ice cold water bottles asking for extra tip. Drivers discussing tips with customers is allowed. Last night I got $20 bill on top of $6.17 which was part of a triple Uber stack paying 16.87

Yeah, just wait until after the storm passes they’ll be spending money like crazy because they’re getting tired of eating canned foods
