I like to imagine that no matter how the kerbal dies, even if it's all the way at jool, he just inexplicably shows up to work at KSC the next day and pours himself a cup of coffee.
Poor kerbal, but I think he does have a parachute and the rocket is suborbital(kinda looks like my first demo rocket + fins). Just hope the rocket don't start running down and become a kerballed ICBM.

I'm pretty sure that kerbals who was pulled with the rocket survived, you can still hear him and stuff so when the rocket titles horizontal he probably grabbed on top and when the rocket ran out of fuel it's parachute deployed and no one was hurt! 😁👍

I'm not sure where they got the sound effects for HL1, but they seem to pop up everywhere. Especially the clang sound of a crowbar hitting metal, I've heard that one a lot. My guess is that it's some popular sound effect library that is offered for licensing.
