Thanks for uploading this game. It was not shown on Fox here in Army country, out East. Glad to be able to watch it tonight. Coach Monken has been great at Army. His teams play and compete well against the big boys, in spite of the academic and physical standards, as well as the military requirements. After terrible years from 1999 under bad AD 's, losing to Navy from 2002 for more than 10 years, Army hired a good AD, Corrigan who hired Monken. The ticket prices have gone up, but the team is fun to watch again. This game against OU shows that Army is no longer a laughing stock of D1 football. Beat Navy!!!!
Army runs alright but the key is that they're execution is perfect. No matter where or how a defense tries to stuff gaps, they readjust blocking assignment and go to it. Navy has had Ohio State on the ropes (twice) with this. Its a very hard and frustrating offensive system to stop.
@@dude3278 The Army team here is much better now then the team that lost to Ohio State and even if they lost it proved they are going to get even better they got a great coach and they are getting it done. They play Michigan in 2019
Army had 6 fumbles for all of 2017. They had 5 fumbles in first game vs Duke in 2018. Yes - Duke beat Army but Army helped them quite a bit. Army played well vs Oklahoma. Truth be told, many good teams do poorly vs the option if they haven't seen it in awhile. A bad Army team almost beat PSU a few years ago
The Duke game date was changed by Duke. The week before that game ,Army had just 2 practices with the full team. Brigade duty out weighed sports, always has Setting up the barrack's, assignments, setting up Company's and Platoon's, Chain of Command structure, who.learning formations dress parade drill, classes. They start fall camp early because of this military duty and structure. Norm is to have have this week off then run a full week of practice before first game.. Duke saw this and wanted revenge from the year before. Then they dropped Army. In this game,400 yards on the ground.army should have won. They out hit O.U.Screw hypocrite's at Duke, Coach K has lost that Army Way ,poor him.
@@tufoinproductions Its also the fact they feel bad about crushing the man in front of them. You: A scholarship kid living it up, if you're great, you make it thru ONE NFL training camp and earn the minimum 500K; you just earned more then the kid in front of you will in 5 years as an officer.
Instant classic. The two most opposite styles of offense in college football both doing exactly what they want to do. This is like that 66-59 game against tech just with only one team doing the air raid.
Texas Tech ought to go back to that. They’ve lost all identity since that’s been abandoned, in my opinion. Frankly, I don’t know why they didn’t throw a bunch of money at Mike Leach as sort of a “Sorry we left you” and try to bring back their golden age.
'or this could could be a huge Blowout' Gary Reasons. Very impressed with Army. Coached well, Cohesive Offensive Line, Fires off well. OU has Kicking trouble.
This is the same Army team that beat Houston in their bowl game 70 to 14 you will not see the full game ever they are building a team at west point 4 of 5 they had a winning season and the last few years they have won their bowl games and are good for at least 9+ wins a year
Army showin' the New Sooners how the Old Sooners used to play....I.E. the "wishbone era" run option football! They took the air outta the ball & almost Won!....
Oklahoma spends all it's money on Offense, so if they don't score 50 points their in trouble. also the defense doesn't know what to do when teams go for it on fourth down.
I suppose someone with school interests (Oklahoma) are not including replays on Oklahoma turn-overs (Int, downs and missed FG). But when Army turned the ball over, they had multiple replays -- just in case you didn't see it the first few times.
Here is a game from 2016 recorded by the opposing team... Not only did they not edit out anything, they even showed the opposing teams celebration at the end. ruclips.net/video/cRkjGLqrZi4/видео.html. I should have thanked you though and for that I apologize. Thank you.

it wasn't even a bad game lolol y'all guys are haters man it was just a good army team.. we got some work to do but every team does we're in good position to grow.. next week we will be improved from this week, facing a team like this gets us ready for teams like Georgia and bama were gonna be all good tho we gonna learn off this game and continue to progress
A team like this? They were dominated by Duke. I would like to chalk it up to them playing so well, but it looked like the same lame defense that has plagued us for years.
I repsect Army but they got blown out by Duke. You can’t let them possess the ball for 45 minutes and run all over you. They were half the size of OU’ players.
David Graves I love the Service Academies but let’s not fool ourselves that we just beat a really good team. They didn’t play well against Duke? Really? OU at #5 in the country should dominate an unranked Service Academy that is severely undersized...ON THEIR HOMEFIELD! I was hoping our defense would be improved and I would was drinking the Kool-aid but then we went out and got lit up by a bad Iowa St. offense and we couldn’t stop Army. Iowa St. scored 3 points against Iowa and struggled against Akron. Is Iowa State an offensive power too?

Um the last time Army played Ohio State they got crushed 38-7.

Army has done just fine since this game they was won 9 games in 2020 and they got both Wisconsin and Wake Forest in 2021
Army got the standing O from the Sooner crowd. That doesn't happen. Oklahoma appreciates good football.
Army almost won.. great game
I was at this game In Norman, they had military vehicles outside the stadium, it was just a really good time.
still impressive on army's behalf since they are not a power house
proud of their performance even though they lost what an effort. surprised everyone.
That Flexbone is a pain to deal with. Oklahoma has them again this year

Also I totally agree. Both offenses did exactly what they wanted to do schematically as you said. I like how you put that!

Damn nail biter, thanks for the upload.
Great video. Thank you for editing out wasted time and getting straight to the action.
Good game to watch. Not a blowout, and entertaining.

how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
There were actually some good defensive plays on both sides
I'm not going to be able to watch this after seeing the stats and hearing how horrible our defense was.. It'll never change.

Do your own replays and you can post what you want to see. Easy Peasy!

correction: They did edit out commercials. I just meant not edit out any of the game content.
Thanks for the upload. A very interesting game
Will the Sooners face the Black knights again cause it would be one hell of a rivalry as well😀🏈
Army lost because they couldn't complete 3 short passes...GO ARMY,BEAT NAVY!
damn lucky that OUs quarterback is from Texas ,,, ole USN vet,,
Army and navy have good running game
22:33
always fun to watch the Sooners
Line to gain?? WTH is that!?
good night... Oklahoma has zero defense....

Thanks for the upload. Horrible quality. Stuttering, dropped frames. Hoping the no huddle is better. How long till it's up?
👍
OU - The only four year Community College with a Football Team! The team that outscores their SAT's every week!
How much money did Army take to throw the game for the Sooners is the real question?
4th and goal. and they couldn't get it in the endzone!
That field goal at the end should have been a gimme.

LOL, y'all arent going to be playing Bama or Georgia this year buddy.
y'all ready to get blown out by bama?
I sure hate seeing us play struggling like this, hope this is a fluke game, our choke of the year
I feel that the Sooners will give Baylor a beat down Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Hook 'em
Brucev7 I'm picking Baylor. OU beat UCLA by 28. Colorado beat UCLA by 22.........COLORADO!! Hook 'em
Vance. Going as expected 28-6 2Q
Domination. Practice for the Horns. 66-33
@@Brucev7 Beating them by 33 is significant. Letting them score 33 is not (imho) domination.
Why is OU playing 2 safeties 🤷🏾♂️😂🤣

OU return game this year is weak
OU - A Football Stadium with a school attached!
Eventually college football will ban the cut block and all of the service academies will struggle to compete using conventional offensive schemes.
If they ban cut blocks then they should also set weight and height limits. Makes just as much sense.
The day they do that is the day football becomes a pansy ass pastime. So help me God, I'll quit watching it.
