    I laughed when you suddenly said, "Bird!" ... reminded me of the movie Up and the "Squirrel!" moment. 😄
    Good challenge, and one that I should have a go at sometime. Zoom lenses can make it too easy at times, so restricting yourself to one focal length requires a bit more work to get the composition that you're after. Well done, mate!
    Oh, and #filter for the giveaway. My lenses would be honoured to give them a new home (as well as a lot of use)!

    Oh wow, with 1.4k comments I'm pretty sure that winning those shiny new filters is out of reach. However I think I've watched pretty much all of your back catalogue and possibly improved my photography whilst doing so, this surely already makes me a winner.
    Keep up the good work James, you're an inspiration.

    I’ve used filters like five times during the time I have called myself a photographer. The main reason is that they are just annoying. All of that screwing and with my unnecessarily large fingers I often end up with a fingerprint on the glass. However, this magnetic thing seems worth a try.🤔

    • @thegrayyernaut

      I have never used filters because I don't like carrying more stuff xD

    • @stefanwagener
      @stefanwagener 2 года назад +1

      Same for me, screwing on a filter is annoying. I rarely use them but when I put them on then I keep them on the lens constantly even though I don't need it for my next shot. So I think the magnetic ones are way more practical ... but most of these sets are really expensive as well.

    When I think of set focal length challenges 70 is never a focal length that comes to mind. ESPECIALLY for landscapes! This was awesome to watch and I've really been enjoying your insights on Sony since you switched systems. I just made the jump from a Nikon D600 after shooting it for nearly 10 years to the A7IV and it is stunning the advances and changes from DSLR to mirrorless shooting. I'm still rebuilding my kit for the new system, so an assist of a new filter kit would definitely be great. I didn't know that anyone made a magnetic clip in system like this, and not having to mess about with catching the filter threads right except the first time sounds fantastic.

    Good video again, those filters are great with the magnetic rings, I get a bit lazy sometimes and can’t be bothered setting up the conventional filter holders and filters, the magnetic attachment is a great solution. Thanks for another great video.

    Fun challenge. Nigel’s great, can’t wait to see his video. Seems like you guys had good lighting throughout your time there. Here’s to hoping I win the filters!!

    Another great video, James, thanks! The filters would be very helpful for my work, so thanks for this giveaway opportunity.

    Great to see the contrast in styles and final edits in you and nigels images. Those filters look really handy to use. Keep up the great work :)

    FILTER loved the idea something I do every now and then go out with a fixed length and see what I can get from subjects just to make me think a bit more.

    Love this challenge video and love this location. Always love to see your processes and it's great fun watching both yours and Nigels Videos along side each other. Now you've just got to filter the shots down to do a combined video of the best of both of your shots!
