I’ll admit it. I’m a tuxedo lover. I have several tuxedos from Classic Black to Dove Grey. I even have a Black Watch tuxedo that looks really nice. All of mine are custom so they really fit me well. But if I didn’t have all of the tuxedos available to me, I’d go with black and then have multiple bow ties and cummerbunds. I don’t think you should buy a tux until you quit growing, but if you have stopped growing, I’d highly suggest you buy your tux as it will fit only you and you will find yourself needing a tux often in college, especially if you’re a musician or singer. Other than that you might just want a tux for the times you really need to look good. If nothing else, you can wear it for church (don’t laugh; I wear a tux often for church and yes that includes the bow tie). Whatever your style, you can’t go wrong having your own tuxedo in the closet ready to go at any time.
