Childcare in Australia (Malayalam vlog)

This vlog is explaining about childcare and kindergarten in Australia. Childcare is expensive in Australia, providers charge $100 - $130/day. PR holders get subsidies according to their combined income. High income earners get less subsidies and sometimes need to pay back the subsidies received at the end of the financial year year. Subsidies are calculated according to to the estimated income we provide in the centrelink application.
As the waiting periods are longer in some parts of Australia, do not delay the applications of childcare/kindergarten. Hope this video helps with your journey to Australia 🇦🇺.

Hello, i am on a 186 PR visa, my wife is currently not working, so can i take unemployment subsidy and child care subsidy for my 1 and a half year old? Will this affect my capabilities of getting a loan and things like that? Thanks in advance!

Hi
when you apply for home loan, they ask you whether you get any benefits from centrelink. Untill you get a job, you will be considered as your wife’s dependent even if you get unemployment subsidy. That might affect your borrowing capacity. It is still worth checking it your own bank or through a mortgage broker for preapproval. When you both are working, your borrowing capacity will be higher and that will help you to purchase your new home.🏠
