Thank you for posting this. It is very helpful for customers and potential customers to hear this type of information directly from the manufacturer. I’ve had questions myself and you covered it all right here!
I’ve been doing my homework on your coil, what’s left an impression with me in a couple of videos is what a straight shooter you are. You give a viewer confidence in what you’re offering in any of the presentations in which I has seen you. You’re an awesome frontman!
Thanks for the video. I have had my WRC for a year and have had great success with it mounted to my truck and with the tripod and ground radials. Highly recommend the WRC and your customer support is fantastic as well. 73
Excellent Video covering an Excellent Product. One of the other areas of Excellence with this company is their Customer Service!!!! Many companies give LIP service...WRC lives it. Some of the Best customer service I have EVER experienced doing business anywhere.
Love the 1000 TIA. I use a silicone (gun) cloth to wipe the telescoping whip as I collapse it. Leaves it shiny and free of gunk and fingertips and eases the sliding motion of each section. Give it a try.
I have the sota special and I've tried it out in my apartment on a Saturday cloth and it worked pretty well what's the weather gets a little bit better I'm going to take it out to a park or something and try it out with the Faraday cloth and the ground radials
Great video my experience with TIA agrees with everything you presented. I installed the dual collar and have great success with 40 20 switching. John Rostorfer suggested adding back the original collar and jump 3 bands. I’m going to try that and report back results. Any comment?
Thanks for all the answered questions! I received your Silver Bullet 1000 last week......impressive workmanship. I was just down in Neenah a couple weeks ago taking care of our 3 grandchildren while their parents were away. Should have stopped in by you. Question.....what is involved using your SB1000 with a 112" whip? KD9MSP
I saw in an older video that you had a coil mounted on a Jeep Wrangler. I couldn't see how it was mounted and it was likely an older model. How would you recommend mounting a coil to a 2017 JKU that can be left in place while driving?
Would love to see if gauge of wire matters for radials. I see alot of 18awg radials, but there is alot of 26awg. That is a huge difference. for portable use with couple dozen radials, thinner would be better and cheaper BUT is 26awg as effective as 18awg. If not, by how much?? negligible? like 15watts vs 20 watts or is it like 15watts to 45 watts?
If you ask abert ground radials, that means the one asking needs to bone up on his antenna theory. Lots of good books and videos out there explaining how a simple 1/4 ground plane works - /k6sdw
It is interesting how many people post on FB that they cannot get a low SWR or their gear is behaving strangely then comment that they do not use radials. 🙂
I stole an idea from DX Commander. I use more short radials instead of the 3 long ones. I use 18 8 foot radials and I get almost perfect swr even on 40 meters. I have never tried 80 meters.

Excellent video that takes away most of the apprehension about buying and using a WRC antenna.

Thanks for the Q & A. Much appreciated.
Thank you. I love this antenna and have made contacts from MN to Europe and South America; even with a tri mag mount on top of my car. K0PIG
One of the best antennas I own and worth every penny!
Great video, I appreciate you sharing
Great video! Thank you !
Great video! Answered all my questions. My only suggestion is to add the info on your coil instruction sheet. Thanks, love your product!

What you need to offer is a phasing line for 2 verticals, so I can enjoy directional verticals.

Interested in one of your systems but if the vertical radial is that sensitive to breakage, I am probably going to look for another solution.
Like tia 1000 but would rather have mil-spec sectional shock cord whip antenna instead of failure prone telescopic whip
Can you use these as your home base antenna on a balcony? Will it weather well in Chicago winter weather?

I have a question: why can't two of these be used in a "V" formation, like the old "rabbit ears" TV antennas for apartment complexes? Would that work?
Can I get one in Black instead of white??
I suggest you use aluminum wire to increase your coils' efficiency.
I just figured questions 1-10 would have been "How many radials and how long?" and the 11th being "how much power can I run on FT8?". LOL
Bought this platinum model, can’t get the SWR below 3.0. Mostly SWR runs 4-6.
Same issue with my SB1000, the best SWR I can get is 2.58 anywhere on the coil for any band. Very frustrating.
On coax: don't skimp ... get the best quality you can. Cheap, crappy coax is a bad investment and will let you down.
can I use this for 11 meters 27.2050 ?
yes
