The narrator of this video said that the model T was not about technological innovation. It's only about mass production and the middle class. There was INNOVATION, here is just two I can think of. The 4 cylinder engine was the first to be cast as a single block al the others cast their 4s in pares. This made it faster to produce and easier to work on. It also had a detachable head, again ease of manufacture and maintenance, you didn't have to pull the whole engine out to do a valve job. It was 8 to 10 years before other car makers adapted this concept and some didn't change until the mid 1920's.
