- Welcome back to Assetto Corsa Competizione on Low Fuel Motorsport for a GO Setups GT3 Sprint race on a track I’ve always avoided… until today. Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. Boy has this track been a nightmare to learn for the first time!
As a result, I’m starting all the way down in P19. It’s been a long time since I’ve started this far back in an ACC LFM online race, so the odds are definitely stacked against me. If you offered me a top-15 finish right now, I’d snap your hand off.

I'm 65 now. Always pump my adrenaline full when watching your videos. Really enjoy it as much as my online play on sim racing track. 🤗
I am the BMW of Buschkühle behind 😅 Love your Videos and was nice to get the chance for a battle once 😁 was a fair fight I think, sadly I couldnt keep up til the end cause of damage from the first laps but enjoyed it anyway!
Hey, nice to race you! Ahhh yeah if you picked up damage early on, I expect that caused you to struggle even more with grip. I was pushing too hard and making lots of slides and small mistakes. But when I eased off for the final 5 minutes, I found my laps started to flow again. Great race, hopefully see you on the grid again soon!
The best racing usually happens in a pack somewhere down the order. Great action, Chris!
Very true, Dave. Are you still getting some AC races in? I haven’t done for a while now, really must dive back in.
Ya, I just finished MX5 at Watkins. P5 this time.
Just want to say a big thanks for the work you put into these videos. The replays of incidents are especially appreciated. They are my 2 year old son's favorite part and he loves to watch your videos with me. "Watch cars crash again Daddy?" 😂
Ahhhh Tim mate, that’s so nice of you to say, thank you so much. Truly appreciated 😃
This is the first video I've seen. But it's spectacular 💯👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😉 a real race. How wonderful. Signed up right away 😉👍🏼🇮🇹 (Italy)
Thank you, and welcome to the channel! Glad you enjoyed watching, great to have you subbed 😃
Super racing Chris keep these videos coming 👍
I’ll try my best mate! Cheers for watching, as always 😃
Great race to watch and well done on getting top 15 👏
Thanks Alan. I’ve never had to work harder, just for a top 15 spot!
I used to despise this track as well, but since I got my Moza R3 a few weeks ago, I've found it suddenly flows so much better. And the racing is always the closest I've seen on any track!
I found my last few laps flowed much better, after I decided to ease off to give my tyres a rest. It definitely feels like a track that punishes over-driving! So I bet with a good smooth wheel, it’s much easier to find a nice rhythm 😃
Chris your commentary is incredible. Love these videos, hope to see you on track someday!
Thank you mate, really glad you enjoy watching. Definitely keep an eye out for me on the grids!
Such a fun race! Always look forward to your videos.
Glad you enjoy them mate, I very much appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Cheers 😃
Valencia is such a great circuit, well worth taking the time (if you have it) to learn it :) Great racing.
As with any track that is difficult to get right, it always feels extra satisfying when you find a rhythm 😃 Think I’ll need a lot more track time to find anything near the extra 2secs I’ll need to challenge for podiums though!
Great race to watch. Hard fought P15.
And great commentary as always.
Thank you mate, yeah I imagine this track takes a lot of time to master. I was definitely over-driving too much for a lot of it! Cheers
Never give up.
Absolutely. If in doubt, I’ll always take John Cena’s advice 💪
Nice. Always fun when there's a lot going on around you and the driving seemed pretty spot on from most. I like the track overall but it is difficult as hell to overtake. You have to either muscle your way past or get a better exit out of the last turn. Haven't driven for a few weeks. Just not into it at the minute.
It gets like that sometimes. Particularly with ACC LFM because you often come back to the same old combos again and again. It made a change to try this different track, although I wasn’t enjoying it too much while I was trying to learn it quickly! Hope the mojo is rediscovered soon mate 😃
Great race Chris fun to watch.
Hello Bill, so good to hear from you again. I hope everything is ok with you? Lovely to see your comment appear in my feed.
@@chrisrogerssimracing Chris I'm having some physical problems. I think I'm going to start doing some trucking on my channel. not feeling good enough to race but I hope to get back to it someday. I still enjoy watching your videos your the best buddy!
LOTS going on in this one. Sometimes the midfield battles are the best battles!
Yeah, big time. It seems to be the type of track that keeps the pack tight together. The only time gaps ever appeared was when mistakes were made.
Really entertaining race and commentary!!! Your race this week went about the same as mine, super eventful, but what a struggle on that track.
Thank you Daniel, yeah it’s a really challenging track, isn’t it. My most consistent lap times came in the final 5 minutes when I was taking it easy after cooking the tyres. Which made me realise I was over-driving it way too hard!
great racing great commentary
Cheers Tim, thanks for watching mate!
Well earned p15 😂
If you get the chance, try out the MX5 at Watkins Glen. Absolute banger races, must have already lost a couple pounds this week from all the sweating and intensity.
Cheers.
Now that does sound like a cracking combo. Watkins Glen is one of my favourite tracks, so that will definitely be one to try if I get any sim time this weekend. I could do with losing a few lbs too 🤣
Hehe, who said that we gamers don't get any exercise! I have been racing for many years (still rubbish tho), but only agains AI until a couple of days ago. I did my 3 races on both road and formula on iRacing so i would be out of rookies, and before my last race i had to get my fan from the basement and open my window (-12 celsius outside) to cool down enough to get a grip on my steering wheel 😄
@@Freddy_DB 🤣
@Freddy_DB 🤣🤣🤣
The mental gymnastics of calculating your brakepoint going 3 wide into the bus stop must be burning a couple calories at least.
Good race Chris, always a pleasure to watch. Oh have you tried Assetto Corsa Evo?
Thank you mate. Yeah I’ve tried Assetto Corsa Evo. I suffered some pretty big performance issues on my modest PC, even dialling the graphic settings down, so it wasn’t a great experience. I’ll go back in at some point to do some fine-tuning, maybe once it’s had an update or two.
Always enjoy your ACC content mate thanks for the video,i was wondering if your rear splitter was damaged by the shunt from the Porsche may explain the twitchy back end in some corners or was it just tyres do you think?
Yeah, quite possible that contributed too. I did get an alert saying I had minor rear damage after that it. Combined with the screaming tyres, it probably made handling a little more ragged than it would normally be! Cheers mate.
Wow, another excellent, nail-biting race! Did you find out what happened to the Porsche that let you by on the last lap?
I didn’t, no, and I can’t really explain it. It didn’t look like an empty tank, as he made it to the finish line behind me. Possibly an apology for the hit at T2 early in the race, but that seems unlikely too as it didn’t cause any problems. Maybe he mistook me for someone else that deserved an apology 🤣
Those tyre-temps... with similar track-temp go to the aero-section of the Setup to open up the brake-disc vents just a little more (I suspect they were only set at 3). Seems to be peculiar to Valencia. You kept it together quite well nonetheless. Racing for position during the entire race on a track like this in non-rookies series... The sense of achievement racing this track is as great as having completed a wet race without having ruined anybody's race. 'Net-code' isn't an issue in ACC at any rate.
Yeah it was pretty intense! I think a lot of the high tyre temps were my own doing… first half of the race, I was sliding into and through corners way more than I should have. When I eased off in the final 5mins, it felt much smoother. Netcode was very good, as always with ACC. The Porsche with me had high ping through most of the race, but it still stayed pretty stable and planted on track, which was great
you can really abuse the kerbs for track limits on this track. like in turn 12 you can have all 4 over the left kerb to give yourself a wider line.
Yeah I guessed that might be the key to finding an extra 1-2secs. T1 was similar, I noticed several drivers taking more of the run-off than I was, to maintain corner exit speed. Definitely a benefit to testing the limits in practice.
I think it's pronounced BarafaRni but he drives like a Barafanny 😂
🤣
because of people like Barafani I switched over to racing. He has almost no race craft and is continuously destroying other peoples races.
He had a really high ping through the race as well, which probably didn’t help either.
