London Walk through Walthamstow Market on a Saturday afternoon

A point of view walk through Walthamstow Market. Walthamstow Market is based in East London, close to Stratford and Chingford. The market consists of fruit, vegetable, food, clothes, bags, household goods and fabric stalls. It is the longest market in Europe (though it's not the largest) measuring at 1km long.

I was born in Walthamstow,i'm now 50 have seen a lot of changes there,i used to go there often in the 90s i could get everything i needed in one place,i think it has gone downhill now due to parking etc,it was thriving back in the day ! plus people online shop more and pound shops opened haven't helped it much ! it holds a fond place in my heart though 😊

I spent my first 25years living in Walthamstow, way back in the 60's and 70's. It was absolutely brilliant. Manzes Pie & Mash shop has closed now, such a shame, I will miss it. I think the place is nothing like it used to be, it's DIVERSITY gone mad.

@@trumbleslum When i visit parents in London,i'm now in Scotland ,i'd go to Manzes every time i was down,i'm gutted that it has gone now ! 😭☹

Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, Walthamstow has changed alot with all the new builds and new shops. Also the bike lanes along Hoe Street.

Really nice to get a glimpse of everyday life there. I live in the US and have spent a lot of time in England, but not all that much in London, so it's great to see a bit of real London, not just the tourist-y stuff.
