Oh my goodness David, this one's a piece of art! The layer of colours makes it something to behold. The mixed base looks quite strong, but very tasty. But what's it got to do with the former first lady? Maybe a different lady bird. Thank you for this!
great cocktail i made mistake by adding grenadine to alco mix, so I put grenadine to the glass too, but my wife said that it's an awesome drink, thanks, amazing cocktails from you, like a "death eater", allready tested by me, thanks for the content
I'm right with you Ann. I am so lousy at layering but Dave is awesome. I know it takes practice and I will keep trying!! This looks terrific!! Cheers!! :-)
I reckon everyone should make this magnificent drink. Just avoid grenadine. Once done, hold the drink high to show your support 🇺🇦 . Be safe and drink responsibly!!
@@boozeontherocks Would of liked to hear what it smelled and tasted like specially due to the layers. But it’s fine. Thanks for the reply. You’re a cool guy. I really enjoy your videos! Keep it up! Awesome work!
Hi David, I made this drink yesterday evening to your exact spec plus 15ml of my homemade allspice dram. It was lovely, nicely balanced, long lasting, thoroughly enjoyed! I will look forward to today’s posting. Nick from York
@@boozeontherocks Hi David, I looked at several Allspice Dram recipes on You Tube, some very complex, others less so. But I made it more complex. Liquor was Pineapple Grenade Rum, (65%ABV), Wray & Nephew OP & Appleton Estate 8yo. Additives were a whole jar of Allspice Berries which I crushed coarsely in a pestle and mortar, a cinnamon stick, half a nutmeg coarsely ground, a single star anise, about 15 cloves, tablespoon of cocao nibs, vanilla essence rather than a vanilla pod, and dark muscovado sugar. All in to a big jar, screwed lid tight and left for 5 days turning daily. Then strained through a double coffee filter, measured and double the amount of simple syrup added. Stirred thoroughly and my mixture filled 2 empty 70cl bottles and a drop more. Then left alone for 3 weeks. I was thrilled with the result but have enough in stock for the rest of my life!
Looks so delicious Dave!! Layering is something I need a lot more practice in for sure. I flub it up sometimes. Could I also use the Tanqueray Gin? I don't have any Beefeater. Have a great weekend Dave!! Cheers!! :-)
I love this channel! Is there ANY way you could put a small compilation of drink recipes that equal ONLY one ounce of liquor with a pop or juice mix? I want to spice up the bar I work in, and I am ridiculously limited to the amount of booze I can use in the “drink special” as well as mixing ingredients! My boss will allow me one ounce of liquor and liqueurs in total in one drink special. (Unless patron orders a double and I charge accordingly.) I have plenty of spirits but limited there too hahaha. For mix, I have Cuervo margarita mix as my lime juice. 7up, ginger ale, coke AND Pepsi, orange, pineapple, cranberry and Clamato juice as well as Rose grenadine. Fresh limes and lemons for garnish . That’s it. What magic can I make? Any thoughts I would be eternally grateful 😅🥹
Hi David, beautifully constructed but I guess better stirred up after making and admiring. The 4 x spirit adds a lot of whoomph! and to get a hit from that drawing the straw up would make me splutter. I will try it though, on a sunny warm Saturday when we get one. Nick from York currently enjoying a double dose Midnight Stinger.
I used your video as guidance to create my own themed cocktails! The science behind the layering is the key! I essentially doubled the vodka and Bacardi and left out the gin and tequila. And replaced the juice with cranberry juice. Grenadine on bottom and blue curacao still mixed with the spirits. I did similar with other juices and alcohols using the same technique of using the ice to your advantage and layering thinner and thicker liquids. It works amazingly! And a trick for anyone who wants fancy colours is just to add a drop of food colouring to any liquid you want a specific colour! I did this with a cocktail to create a light pink colour!
No one layers a drink quite like you David. You’ve become the Layer King.
Thank you Vino :)

You're welcome, Im'm glad you like them.
Drink looks really good. Will make this soon.
Funny how the bleep was off-timed it bleeped everything else except the intended word.
This drink is really good :)
I love that you do these type of cocktails. I'm not great at the layers! Cheers. Looks great Dave!
Thanks Ann. It did turn out nice.

Why avoid grenadine?
That is a good Idea.
If you remove the grenadine you have the colours of the Ukrainian Flag.
It’s all your fault David! Lol. Nice layered drink!
That is is my freind :)
Wait you didn’t drink it! That’s one of the most satisfying parts and hearing your feedback!
Thanks you./ Sometimes When I need to get the thumbnail shot right after I make it when its layered really nicely..

Yes you can use the Tanqueray. It would work really well in this.

Let me think about what I can do.

Nick, You are right this does need a good stir. It wont look pretty after that but it will taste good. I will have to look at the midnight stinger.
Awesome video as usual. 😎
