Try using a blow dryer on hot and conform it to the bumper. When working with PU plastic always leave it out in the hot sun for a few hours for it to go back it's original shape before install. Then use a heat gun or blow dryer and try to eliminate any gaps during install. Double sided tape does not stick well to PU. To remedy that, scuff the inside before putting the double sided tape on with scotch brite or some 500 grit sand paper so it will stick. Hope this helps with any future installs.
That most likely explains why the double sided tape wasn't sticking. Gotta keep that in mind for next time. I'll def be using your tips for future parts. Thanks bro!!
Same car, same color. found your channel across youtube. You motivate me to start working on my IS250. I have plans but not now, and watching your channel can still waiting.
Not sure if you have the car still but did it hold up even thru the raining and strong winds? I have my diffuser and haven't installed it yet. just not sure if it'll be worth it in the long run
I already have done that I bought different types of double side tape even a gorilla glue double sided tape and it still doesn’t get stuck to the diffuser plastic I did sand it in the inside of it and clean the surface but for some reason the double sided tape Dosent stick on like it peels off so easy
This type of comment is exactly what makes buying a used IS250 scary! Glad I got mine with tons of maintenance records and low miles. People who just don't know any better go and put any old gas in it and wonder why it acts different than it did before... your car literally says on it to put premium fuel only inside of it.
@Christian Mastrile ayye i found them preciate it cuzzo! I just installed my diffuser now my car on its way to looking like yours just need the vland lights, I have everything else installed👍
Got the same issue with fitment on my IS250. Any advice on hiding the screws or alternative to less gaps without having visible screws. Want to reinstall mine as there are quite a bit of gaps
If I'm being honest, not really lol. I would install first then paint so you don't have to worry about drilling any holes in the diffuser with fresh paint on it
If you're not sure asking someone who does or Google it . I couldn't have something on my car will gapes . Looks cheep / boggy . Sorry to say, but if it makes you happy 😁
I'm just in shock people are screwing this to their bumper, if it doesn't fit I'm sending it back!...I'm going to take a chance and order this because I'm sure every difuser is a little different but I will not be screwing it to my wife's Lexus, that's just me!

aspect D ty
amazing knowledge right there. Thanks bud
thats the way we work! thx boss
🐐
Hey man, just wondering if you painted the diffuser before installing onto your car? Thanks!
Thanks man. I bought the ebay version and having the same issue. Appreciate the help.
Looks great! Do you have a link for this? I want to also install for my IS :)
For that gap, you could of used a heat gun to mold it to bend just enough to cover the gap.
Looking good man. I skipped double sided tape entirely, the 3M tape I bought didn't stick whatsoever to the diffuser. It just fell off lol x)

Would you recommend a red rear diffuser? Because I’m looking at going matte black and painting the diffuser red
Ты можешь попробовать нагреть накладку строительным феном, и придать ей нужный изгиб, но будь аккуратен, можешь испортить фактуру :)
fire content as always bro 🙏🏻
Appreciate you brotha! 🤘🤘

Haven't ran into any issues since installing. Been through moderate to heavy rain and strong winds and held up really well
Before I start my install I definitely need to go some basketball! Lol
IKON’s kits all need to be left out in the sun so it can mold right
what type of paint finishes did you use for the diffuser install? looks way better than just not painting it
Actually didn't use any paint finishes lol
Okay so I bought my diffuser and no tape I have bought sticks to the diffuser i don’t know why what other tape can I use ?
You can go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and pick up a roll of 3m double sided tape
I already have done that I bought different types of double side tape even a gorilla glue double sided tape and it still doesn’t get stuck to the diffuser plastic I did sand it in the inside of it and clean the surface but for some reason the double sided tape Dosent stick on like it peels off so easy
damn you might have to drill more holes into the diffuser/bumper to get it on there and use the double sided tape as backup if it'll even hold up
try sanding the area where the tape goes first..
I have a Toyota Aristo year 2000 im looking a rear diffuser for mine. Do you know where i could get one?
Do you put Premium gas on your IS 250? My engine is knocking on 89.
Yessir 91 here in Cali. Try premium where you are. Not a mechanic but should take the knocking away

What kind of screws did you use for your car?
Self tapping screws bro

Stupid question... Can you still take the car through a car wash?
Did you like the unpainted look of the diffuser on the car? I'm considering if I should paint my diffuser before trying to install it like yours.
If I'm being honest, not really lol. I would install first then paint so you don't have to worry about drilling any holes in the diffuser with fresh paint on it
@@ChristianMastrile I'll be wrapping mine in forged carbon fiber

Yoo, did you find anywhere to get body parts from? Kinda struggling finding anywhere that ships to nz haha
how’s the diffuser holding up
Holding up pretty good. Havent had any issues thus far (knock on wood)
put a bead of sikaflex for a cleaner look man
Will def do that once I replace/repaint the bumper in future. Right on for the suggestion tho bro!

This isn’t the correct fit , damn
I'm just in shock people are screwing this to their bumper, if it doesn't fit I'm sending it back!...I'm going to take a chance and order this because I'm sure every difuser is a little different but I will not be screwing it to my wife's Lexus, that's just me!
You're still need to screw it in anyway. Assuming the 3m tape wouldn't hold up.
Your supposed to screw aftermarket parts down bro don’t trust tape lol
Yikes man. Self tappers in a super visible location. Not trying to be a snob or anything. But dang.
That’s not wald style
You and your ads every 2 minutes... Jesus
I need to move to Los Angeles. That place looks beautiful af. But I'm a Muslim so I'd probably get discriminated or some shit x"DDDDD lol
